U.S. citizens must obtain a visa to enter Madagascar. You can get a visa on arrival or apply for an e-Visa before traveling. Visas cover stays of up to 90 days.

You may be asked to show proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds for your stay. Vaccination documentation may also be requested depending on your travel history.
Visa Policy:
U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter Seychelles but must apply for a Travel Authorization (TA) before arrival. This is a mandatory entry permit, not a visa.
Travel Authorization Details:
Fee: Approximately €10.90
Apply up to 30 days before travel via the official SEBS platform or the E-Border app.
Required documents include a valid passport, a recent selfie, contact information, flight booking, confirmed accommodation or invitation, and a payment method.
Visitor’s Permit:
Issued free on arrival, valid for up to 90 days initially, and extendable for a fee (potentially up to 12 months total).
Other Entry Requirements:
You must demonstrate sufficient funds (around US $150/day), hold confirmed accommodation, and have a return or onward ticket. A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required if arriving from a risk area.
If you cancel your trip before the 90-day deadline, 25% of the total trip price is non-refundable, as are any airfare, train tickets, or ferry tickets purchased as part of your trip package due to the strict cancellation policy by foreign carriers (if applicable).
Trip cancellations requested after the final payment deadlines listed above are non-refundable, and guests are encouraged to file a claim with their travel insurance for reimbursement.
In the unlikely event Walker Wellness Retreats cancels the retreat, guests will be provided a full 100% refund of their booking.

Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport (TNR), please be prepared to pay a $10 visa-on-arrival fee. After collecting your luggage, you will be warmly greeted by an MTV Tour representative and transferred to Maison Gallieni, a charming boutique B&B in the heart of Antananarivo.
7:00 PM: Join your fellow travelers and retreat hosts for a Welcome Orientation in the hotel lobby, followed by a group dinner featuring authentic Malagasy cuisine and hospitality.

Day 2: Antananarivo to Andasibe
After breakfast, depart Antananarivo for Andasibe National Park, a scenic drive of approximately four hours through Madagascar’s stunning highlands. Along the way, take in the diverse landscapes—from lush rice paddies and quaint rural villages to bustling local markets—offering a vivid introduction to the island’s rich culture and natural beauty.
En route, you will stop at Marozevo to visit the Peyrieras Reserve, a fascinating park known for its collection of endemic reptiles and amphibians. Here, you’ll have the chance to see colorful butterflies, chameleons, tomato frogs, snakes, and lemurs—providing a rare glimpse into Madagascar’s unique wildlife.
After your visit, continue on to Andasibe and check in to your hotel. As evening falls, enjoy a guided night walk before dinner, giving you the opportunity to spot nocturnal creatures in their natural environment.
