A day trip to Taroudant offers a glimpse into the authentic Moroccan culture and history while exploring the "Grandmother of Marrakech." Known for its well-preserved ramparts, traditional souks, and friendly locals, Taroudant is a charming destination to visit.

Starting your day early in the morning our driver will pick you up from chosen location in Marrakech. Taroudant is located about 200 kilometers (125 miles) away from Marrakech, and the drive takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on traffic and the chosen route. 

Upon arrival in Taroudant, you'll be captivated by the town's vibrant atmosphere and the impressive 16th-century red mud walls that encircle the medina. 

Our guide will start the tour with visit by strolling along the city walls. The ramparts stretch for almost 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) and offer fantastic views of the city and the surrounding landscapes. 

Followed by entering the medina through one of its ancient gates and immerse yourself in the maze of narrow alleys. Taroudant's medina is much less touristy than Marrakech's, giving you a chance to interact with the locals and experience a more authentic atmosphere. Browse through the traditional souks, where you'll find everything from spices and textiles to handicrafts and local produce. 

Taroudant is famous for its unique architecture, with well-preserved adobe buildings, beautiful riads, and historical landmarks. Your tour guide will take you visiting places like the Grand Mosque, Assarag Square, and the old Jewish quarter, known as Mellah. 

To finish the tour, you will be having lunch in Kasbah Tiout  Located 30 km from Taroudant on the route to Tata, Tiout Kasbah is a true haven of greenery full of palm groves, with numerous natural resources, generating an income for the inhabitants. It offers a majestic view of the green oasis, with magnificent vestiges as a testimony of its importance in the Saadians era.

If you cancel your trip within 72 to 48 hours before the scheduled start of the trip, you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total trip cost. To cancel, please contact us at experiences@afritripmorocco.com and provide your booking details. We will process your cancellation and refund the applicable amount.

No Refunds - Less than 48 hours before the trip:

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start of the trip. This includes no-shows or cancellations made on the day of the trip.

Voucher for Future Bookings - Special Circumstances:

In certain special circumstances, such as unforeseen emergencies or unavoidable circumstances beyond your control, we may consider issuing a voucher for future bookings instead of a refund. This voucher will be valid for a specified period, and you can use it towards a future trip with us.
