Informative Expedition

Get briefed by our expert guide, then journey into the heart of the jungle. Learn about the preserve’s history and ecological significance at the visitors center. 

Waterfall swimming, and sunset picnic

Enjoy a moderate to intense trail to a hidden waterfall.  Take a refreshing dip in the stunning waterfall. Indulge hiking, swimming and sunset at a summit (depending on the chosen trail), ending with a night hike back down.  This is a guided rainforest experience.

Take a trail in hopes of spotting animal

Offering a unique opportunity to explore the park under the cover of darkness. As you traverse the trails, your senses awaken to the nocturnal world around you. The symphony of night sounds fills the air, from the rustle of leaves to the calls of nocturnal creatures like owls and frogs.

Exploring the Jaguar Preserve

Departs: 4:30 PM | Returns: 8:30pm 

(time varies throughout the year and the schduled is based on the moon cyle)


What to bring: 

  • An adventurous mindset
  • Bug spray
  • Sun block
  • Your medication
  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes
  • Towel and change of clothing

 What to wear: 

  • Suitable hiking clothes for the subtropical climate.
  • Bathing suit underneath your clothes or shorts if you want to swim.
  • Let us know if you want to swim in advance as there are multiple trails for us to choose from
  • Avoid flip-flops; closed-toed shoes  (e.g., Keen, Teva, or tennis shoes) are required.
     

Special Note: Ground-tours include round-trip transportation from accommodation to tour site, tour guide and equipment,  meal (when applicable), bottled water, park entrance fees, and sales tax.


Closed-toe shoes are required for this our outdoor activity.  Always bring a towel or change of clothing for after-water activities.  Swimming is not part of the standard night tour.

 

For an unforgettable adventure, come prepared with an enthusiastic explorer's spirit, along with bug repellent, eco-friendly sunblock, personal snacks, and a camera to capture the moments.
