About your trip

We have linked up with our friends at Tropic Ocean Airways to charter a round-trip seaplane from Fort Lauderdale Airport's SheltAir Terminal (FLL) to Bimini's North Seaplane Base for our Bimini Hammerheads trip in March. We've worked with Tropic numerous times in the past, and they are great! They're also big supporters of Bimini Shark Lab. These private charter flight tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we highly recommend booking ASAP if you'd like to join us.

Benefits of joining the private charter:

  • Cheaper than booking regular tickets with Tropic.

  • Leaves from the private SheltAir terminal at FLL airport, so you only need to arrive 45 minutes before flight departure.

  • Uses the private terminal's immigration and security in both airports. So no dealing with long lines or TSA & immigration delays (or any of the other everyday airport chaos).

  • We are working with Tropic to pick flight times that match our hotel check-in/out times, so there is no waiting around.

  • 35lbs of luggage included in price. Potential for additional free luggage based on the group's total body weight. (This is why we ask for your body weight at checkout)

  • Jay will be joining you on the flight to ensure everything goes smoothly and to help arrange taxis from the Bimini Seaplane base to our hotel.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Please note that spaces are VERY limited. The seaplane can accommodate only 8 passengers with luggage. Additionally, as with any international flight, you will need to bring your passport to fly into Bimini.
