All Travelers must Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya No later than June 4, 2024 as this is the start of the itinerary.  We will only be in Nairobi initially for 2 nights departing early morning to Masai Mara on Day 3. The trip will end on June 13th, 2024 in Zanzibar, Tanzania (A different airport from where the trip began) Roung trip flight back to Nairobi can be purchased an an upgrade. 

***Attendees that upgraded to the R/T option from Zanzibar to Nairobi the flight will depart ZNZ / Zanzibar on the 13th at 5:20pm and arrive in Nairobi at 7:30pm.  If an earlier flight is needed please inform us at time of upgrade purchase.

We know that you --as a well-informed customer-- are reviewing the following information before booking.

You may cancel your participation in SOCAFARI presented by FETE WITHOUT BORDERS at any time, but please be aware of the following cancellation policy:

ALL payments are , non-refundable including deposits, late fees, full payments and installment payments. The ONLY exception to this policy is if (1) you request a deposit refund within 48 hours of you submitting the payment or (2) FETE WITHOUT BORDERS determines that the trip must be cancelled in its entirety for any reason in which case we will notify all parties via email and provide refund instructions.

All travel arrangements are your responsibility and at your own cost. We shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations in any of the companies you may have made arrangements with, or for any irregularities in your documentation required for travel.

Unforeseen situations may present themselves to our guests and for those circumstances, situations and occasions we HIGHLY recommend that you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover you for your retreat.

CHARGEBACKS (REFUND REQUEST(S) DIRECTED FROM YOUR BANKING INSTITUTION)

All chargeback notifications received via your bank will be considered cancellation of your SOCAFARI reservation. All documentation, including confirmation of receipt of all travel policies & agreement signatures will be provided to the banking institution as confirmation of payment application according to all agreed upon terms.

TRANSFERS

You may transfer your reservation to another person subject to the procedures in this paragraph and acceptance by FETE WITHOUT BORDERS. Such transfer must be made no later than APRIL 30, 2024. In order to make the transfer, the owner of the reservation must contact FETE WITHOUT BORDERS to obtain a transfer form. The reservation owner must complete the transfer, which includes the contact information for the recipient. The SOCAFARI team will contact the recipient of the transfer for them to complete a Transfer Acceptance Agreement and a Registration Agreement. The transfer between the transferor and recipient may be as a gift or as a sale between the two parties, which will be considered completely independent of FETE WITHOUT BORDERS / SOCAFARI.

ROOMMATE CANCELLATION

If you purchase the double bed double occupancy with a chosen roommate, understand you are 100% responsible for the reservation. Should your roommate cancel, you are responsible for completing the remaining payments of your cancelled roommate. At your request, the SOCAFARI host will make all the best efforts to secure an alternate roommate for you, but resolving a roommate cancellation on your behalf is not the responsibility of FETE WITHOUT BORDERS / SOCAFARI.

LIABILITY

Please understand that you are responsible for your own health and well-being during the retreat. FETE WITHOUT BORDERS / SOCAFARI will not be held liable for any injuries or other medical or emotional problems that may occur, are sustained or aggravated during or after your time on retreat. FETE WITHOUT BORDERS will not accept any responsibility for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions, closure of airports, civil strike, industrial action, natural disasters, technical problems to transport, illness of participants or close relatives/pets, acts of God or any other events beyond our control. Neither can we be responsible for any loss or damage of property or disruption of program cut to circumstances beyond the control of FETE WITHOUT BORDERS.

Welcome to Day 1 of your SOCAFARI  Adventurous Journey

Day 1 : SOCAFARIANS will be greeted at Nairobi's airport by our SOCAFARI personal host then escorted to our charming, African themed hotel and spa which offers panoramic views overlooking the Westland's District of the capital city of Kenya  (Nairobi), giving our SOCAFARIANS easy and close access to the sites of this amazing city.  They will be able to relax from their journey to Africa before we get the fun started. 

In the evening the SOCAFARI experience starts with a Dinner Party combining the flavors and spice of the Motherland through pulsating fashion, feting/partying and a menu that will intrigue your appetite.  -  Wear White with a Splash of African Flare (suggested).

Day #2 - Be Ready for an Early Morning SOCAFARI journey from Nairobi to the Masai Mara reserves talking, laughing, sharing stories and jamming to great music as we drive through the beautiful landscape of Kenya.   

SOCAFARIANS will enjoy 2 magnificent days in the heart of the SAFARI; One of the most spectacular and renowned places in the world.  Grab your fully charged camera phones because you will be amazed and captured with the sites and sounds along the way.  

Upon Arrival in the reserves we will check in to our personal lodges to enjoy safari ambience with refined service and enjoy a light lunch in the spanning grounds of our resort. In the evening we will explore the nightly display of the thousands of acres of Safari land driving in our 4x4's witnessing the vibrant  life of the diverse  Africa's "big five" in their home.... Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, Lions, and Rhino's plus Cheetahs, Wildebeests, Gazelles, Zebras, Hyenas, Giraffes, Crocodiles, Hippos, more than 500 bird species and many more beautiful animal residents that can be seen along the journey.  

DAY #2 - SOCAFARI GEMS

- Light breakfast at Nairobi Hotel and a quick lunch during the drive to Masai Mara

- Drive through beautiful terrain to Masai Mara

- Check in to Masai Mara Hotel/ Lodge 

- Sunset Safari Game Drive (Optional)

- BONFIRE bush dinner and entertainment from the Masai warriors in the Splendor of the Safari Lodge

**The  drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara Reserves is approximately 4.5 hours with stops along our journey.

 DAY 3 - SOCAFARIANS will awake to the unique sounds and clean, refreshing air of preserved Safari land.  Prior to our full day navigating through the grounds of the Mara' Safari to enchant on the unparalleled beauty of the vast terrain and treasured animals, we will encounter along the day; we will first be served a beautiful breakfast at our resort. After SOCAFARIANS have been engulfed in a full day observing the BIG 5' and all of the other extraordinary animals, and now having the safari culture engraved into our hearts we will depart to visit the land and home of the Masai people in their traditional village to witness in a tribe that is the main ingredient of the Masai Mara land.

The Masai warriors are the dominant tribal group in the Masai Mara.  They live in structures known as 'Manyatta', which are low height dwellings, essentially huts, made of mud, cow dung and wood.. The Masai people still retain many of their traditions as they live largely untouched by modern day civilization, in areas surrounding Masai Mara. Our visit to a Masai village is a chance to interact with the Masai men, woman and children and to get a glimpse into their culture, unique way of life and see first hand some of their customs and practices. 

When we arrive in the evening to our lodge with stories that will be past down for generations, we will indulge in a star filled sky dinner curated just for SOCAFARI with a bond fire, dancing and enjoying the stories and music of the Masai tribe. 

DAY 3 - SOCAFARI GEMS

- Breakfast at Safari Resort / Lodge

- Full Day Safari Game Tour

- Visit to the Masai Tribal Village

Day 4-SOCAFARIANS will have a relaxing morning in the Masai Mara reserves enjoying the pool, spa and scenery of the lodge.  During the hours of the early afternoon we will drive back to Nairobi.  Upon Arrival and Check to our hotel, guest will have time to take a dip in the pool, attend an exclusive workshop or relax at the spa. 

In the evening we will host our Formal Dinner Party where we will be taken to another part of the world as this is not your ordinary restaurant in East Africa.  We ask our SOCAFARIANS to wear their unique formal styles but add some African flare in with the mix as this will be a night of fun for the sole and a treat to your taste buds that you don't want to miss.  Entertainment by our traveling DJ's.   

SOCAFARIANS will then enjoy Dinner and a SOCAFARI exclusive party in the evening.  The die hard SOCAFARIANS who have chosen to leave sleep at home  will have the option to take on Nairobi's exuberating  night life as we palance through different lounges that offer an array of different genres of music such as Soca, Reggae, Afrobeats and/or Jazz and if you choose, party the night away. 

DAY 4 - SOCAFARI GEMS

- Enjoy a relaxing Morning at the Masai Mara Luxury Lodge

- Depart the lodge early afternoon and drive to Nairobi

- Check into Hotel for Afternoon Workshops 

(Skip the workshops and use your personal time to enjoy the resort or local activities in Nairobi)

- SOCAFARI Exclusive Dinner with the sensation of SOCA & international DJ's.

DAY 4 - SOCAFARIANS will enjoy a full day of touring Nairobi after an early morning breakfast at the Hotel.  Our first stop will be at the giraffe center where SOCAFARIANS will be able to be up and personal with the giraffes.  They are always hungry so, be ready to feed them and to capture amazing pictures with them being in your background. You will remember this experience forever. 

The next stop on our journey will be the Bomas of Kenya. The Bomas is a fascinating cultural village recreated and preserves Kenya’s traditional heritage. The village offers the chance to see reconstructed mud homes, watch traditional performances and to check out arts and handicrafts. After this intriguing afternoon, we will head to the Carnivore restaurant for  lunch. 

 The Carnivore Restaurant is a world famous restaurant known as the Ultimate 'Beast of a Feast', a meat lovers den with vegetarian' options available - where a vast selection of succulent meats are charcoal grilled and carved at your table.  After lunch there is no time to rest, we will be heading to the busting markets.

At the market you will experience seeing beautiful beaded jewelry and footwear being made by the craftsmen and woman.  You will be able to touch and feel the fabrics and materials used for clothing, bags and baskets.  Be ready as you will be hustled by the many vendors as they engage with you to purchase their goods but you will leave with beautiful items that can passed down for generations. 

Next stop is back to the hotel to unwind and to get ready for a night of fun.  We will enjoy dinner and dancing in the heart of Nairobi.

Day 6 - Be ready to wake up early to see your last sunrise in Kenya and to eat a scrumptious African breakfast - sipping on local Kenyan coffee or tea prior to departing for our flight to Country #2- Tanzania.  In Tanzania we will enjoy the luxurious island and beaches of Zanzibar.  Upon arrival in Zanzibar, our private SOCAFARI transportation and hosts will get us started on a new adventure like no other. 

Picture this, once SOCAFARIANS step foot on the land of Zanzibar we will be welcomed with open arms and taken to SOCAFARI Authentic Welcome Party at an ornate location .. Our exclusive party is unlike any other at a venue inspired by God.  Pulsating African & Caribbean Music will be played, having  our waistlines moving - and a scrumptious organic lunch will be served... Be Ready for the SPICE

After the Welcome Party SOCAFARIANS will be escorted to their strikingly beautiful and  delightful All-Inclusive resort surrounded by the magical and pristine Indian Ocean.  SOCAFARIANS will unwind and dine in style and drink cocktails with views that cannot be described without seeing it with the natural eye.  

Day 6 - SOCAFARI GEMS

- Breakfast in Nairobi Hotel

- Depart Nairobi Hotel and Check in for Flight to Tanzania, Zanzibar

- Welcome Party in Zanzibar - SOCAFARI SPICE

- ZANZIBAR All-Inclusive Resort & Spa on the Beach -  Check In

- SOCAFARIANS's will have down time to enjoy the resort and the beach

Zanzibar beaches are known for it's pristine crystal clear ocean and exotic fish and dolphins.  SOCAFARIANS will have a magical day sailing through it's beautiful seas and docking on private islands where we will party the day away. Snorkeling in a magical ocean, dancing to amazing music selected by our Local and International DJ's plus fed well by our personal chefs preparing fresh seafood straight from the ocean. This is a day that cannot be captured by words but only by the experience.  

Day 7 - SOCAFARI GEM

- Early Breakfast 

- Full Day island hopping, swimming ,snorkeling and partying in the Safari Blue

DAY 8 - SOCAFARIANS can enjoy a morning and afternoon enjoying our beautiful All-Inclusive resort and spa located in Nungwi beach.  Nungwi beach is the most popular and tremendously beautiful beach in Zanzibar.  It offers pristine white sand and crystal blue waters that you can swim anytime of  day. It is located walking distance from many beach activities, local fish markets and local shops.  

In the early evening the SOCAFARI entourage will embark on beautiful wooden dhow boats where we will have traditional East African drummers and DJ's bringing energy that will get the party started and we will pray that fun and excitement of the night will never end.  

Upon arrival back to the resort - Dinner and Cocktails will be served. 

Day 8 - SOCAFARI GEMS

- Morning & Afternoon of Free Time to Relax and Enjoy our All-Inclusive resort & spa and Nungwi Beach.

- Party the night away on our private Sunset Boat Party on Dhow boats

Day 9 - SOCAFARIANS will have a day visiting Stone Town in Zanzibar.  Stone Town is it's capital where navigating through a maze of narrow, twisting streets and alleyways. will allow you to sulk in it's vast  history, culture and people. It has been a trading center for 2,000 years. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its wide range of architectural styles, eclectic collection of languages and the tastes, smells and sights of many cultures - Asian, Arab, African and European. With many markets selling clothes, jewelry and art you will leave with masterpieces.  Stone Town also houses a former slave market which will be an intricate part of our time spent there.   We will enchant onto another island by small engine boats.  The island is named Changuu' best known as Prison Island.   This island houses endangered tortoises which you will be able to feed and pet and sites of the beautiful picturesque Indian Ocean.  

DAY 9 - SOCAFARI GEM

- Breakfast at the resort

- Tour of Stone Town with it's many sites

- visit and feed the tortoises on Slave Island

- Depart and Have Dinner and Dancing at the Resort

Day 10 - This is the day we wished never came but we have to say Goodbye to our beautiful time together.  We can now call each other SOCAFARIAN Family.  At time of your booking, if you chose the round trip option to depart Zanzibar with the group, we will depart in the early evening hours from Zanzibar to catch our evening flights out of Nairobi.  

This day you will have personal time to enjoy activities that you may have wanted to do but because we were pumping from the start you were not able to find time to do them but please stay close to the resort for time of departure to the airport.  

All airport transfers included even if you are not departing with the group.

DAY 10 - SOCAFARI GOODBYE
