As the name implies, this tour gives tourists access to explore various regions and cities in Ghana. We will be travelling from the south to the east, to the north, all key destinations for anyone who wants to delve into the rich heritage of Ghana as a country. We will explore various tourist destinations in each region and acquaint ourselves with the cultural values and norms of each tribe by interacting with the locals. We will participate in some local activities all in an effort to familiarize ourselves with the life of the everyday Ghanaian. 

 Upon arriving at the Kotoka International Airport, a guide or driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. They would also assist you with your hotel check in and preparations for the next day. Hotel Check in begins at 12:00pm The night will be spent in Accra. 

  First thing in the morning, your guide will take you to exchange your currency for Cedi. For guests who prefer to use the ATM or bank, you would be taken to the closest one available to get some money. For guests who are interested in sewing some African attire, we can arrange a meeting with a tailor to take your measurements and styles for sewing. 

Get ready for an unforgettable journey into nature and history! Our first stop is the iconic Aburi Botanical Gardens, a lush paradise where you'll uncover the incredible benefits of a wide variety of plants. Perfect for plant lovers and curious minds alike, this tour offers fascinating insights into the natural world.

Next, we head to the legendary Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm, the birthplace of Ghana’s cocoa industry. Walk among the very first cocoa trees and witness the captivating process that transforms cocoa beans into delicious chocolate. It's an immersive, educational, and flavorful experience you won't want to miss!

 The first destination for the day will be the Assin Manso Slave River site, where the slaves used to have their last bath before being taken to the Castles to await shipment to the "new world". 

From there, we would also visit the Cape Coast Castle. This is the dungeon where slaves were kept for about three months till the arrival of the ships. It was built in 1664 during the peak of slavery, mainly to keep Slaves.

Overnight Stay in Cape Coast 

After breakfast, we will visit the Kakum National Park and walk on the canopy walkway, which is made up of bridges suspended in the air, supported by the big trees in the forest. The Canopy Walkway is suspended 11 to 40 meters above the ground, and bridges give a bird's eye view as well as a breathtaking view of the forest.

We will also visit the Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482 is the oldest and the biggest slave castle in Ghana. You will get to see the slave dungeons, the door of no return, and the prison where one of the Kings of Ashanti was imprisoned. 

Drive back to Accra and overnight stay in Accra

 It is a forest and a habitat to over 700 Sacred Mona Monkeys population that live in a protected virgin forest which is in a ‘U’ shape form. Guests will get the opportunity tosee the monkeys up close and feed them. These mona monkeys are very friendly and love to pose for pictures with guests. Overnight stay in Volta Region.

Mountain Afadja is a beautiful tourist site in the Volta Region and the highest mountain in Ghana, welcoming over thousands of visitors around the world. It takes 40mins-2hours to climb the mountain but it depends on the individual. 

 The Wli Falls is known to be the longest/highest waterfall in West Africa. The fall is locally known as Agumatsa waterfalls, which simply means “Allow Me to Flow ''. It is located approximately 280km from the capital city of Ghana, Accra. Drive back Akosombo. Overnight stay in Akosombo.  

 There will be a boat ride on Lake Volta where guests will see beautiful islands surrounding the lake and have a nice view of the popular Akosombo Dam which is the source of electricity for Ghana and other neighboring countries.

 It is a site for learning bead making and checking out already made beads displayed for purchase. Guests will get the opportunity to experience the process of bead making from start to finish.  

 Overnight stay in Accra.

 On this day, guests can meet with the tailor to pick up Clothes and if there are any alterations to be done on the clothes, it would be done. 

A perfect day for souvenir shopping and soaking up the local vibe. For a lively market experience, head to Makola Market, full of unique local finds. If you're into arts, crafts, wood carvings, or African prints, the Accra Arts Center or Osu Oxford Street are great stops. You can explore on your own via Uber or taxi, or we can arrange a driver for you. Overnight stay in Accra. 

  Guests who are interested in having a nightlife experience in Accra would be able to visit any of these hangout options (but not restricted to these options) provided to get a feel of Accra at night. Some of these hangout options have contemporary live band music with good food and drinks. Please note that you would sometimes have to pay a fee to enter some of these venues, which guests will be required to pay for themselves (venue fee could range from a minimum entry fee of GHC50 to GHC100). NB: You have the option of going to nightlife venues by yourself with an Uber or Taxi, or we could make arrangements for our driver to drive you there. Nightlife centers: +233 Jazz Bar & Grill, Bloom Bar, Sky Bar 25, The Republic Bar & Grill, Coco Vanilla, Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant. The night will be spent in Accra.  

  Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum also known as the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. It is the last resting place of the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This museum is dedicated to him to honor his dedication in liberating Ghana, formally known as Gold Coast, from colonial rule. The Museum houses the personal effects and publications of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and pictures showing his life history with some of the most famous people of his time.    

The Arts and Crafts market can also be simply known as the Arts Center. There are so many different stalls selling different varieties of Ghanaian inspired arts and crafts and this is one of the cool places to shop in Accra. There is so much to see and buy from woven Kente cloth, wooden sculptures to earrings and other fashion accessories matched with the latest in African Attire fashion from all over Ghana.  

Kwame Nkrumah commissioned the Independence Square, also known as Black Star Square, which coincided with the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Independence Square is a vast, empty expanse of concrete overlooked by spectator stands that can seat about 30,000 people. The Independence Arch was an inspiration to other African countries vying for independence and the Flame of African Liberation. The roundabout before the square contains, in the center, the Black Star Gate, also known as the Black Star Monument, which was built in 1961. The vast area, built under Kwame Nkrumah, is designed for huge events and military marches, and commercial events such as concerts and fashion shows, which take place throughout the year.  

 The Centre for National Culture Crafts Market can also be simply known as the Arts Center. There are so many different stalls selling different varieties of Ghanaian inspired arts and crafts and this is one of the cool places to shop in Accra. There is so much to see and buy from woven Kente cloth, wooden sculptures to earrings and other fashion accessories matched with the latest in African Attire fashion from all over Ghana. 

 On the last day, guests will have some time for last minute preparations like exploring the city on their own (depending on your time of departure), packing, hotel checkout, and receiving covid test results before checking in at the airport for final departure. Please note that, hotel checkout is at 12pm.
