About your trip

The Bali Interiors Retreat is hosted by Sheila Man, the founder of interior design platform Bali Interiors. Bali Interiors has been at the forefront of showcasing the best Interiors, architecture and design in Bali.


This retreat includes tours of private houses, factories, and manufacturers. There will be guest speakers, interior designers and architects showing us their creations, hands on workshops where we will learns different crafts. Also we have planned a private boat journey to a nearby island, exclusive dining arrangements, and delicious restaurant visits. A week of design, inspiration, tropical locations, delicious cuisine, and wonderful people.


You will leave the retreat feeling inspired and thrilled, with new connections and a completely different perspective on Bali and all it has to offer in terms of design, manufacturing, sustainability and travel.


The retreat is all inclusive. All meals, accomodation, workshops, boat trip and transportation within the retreat are all included.

Costs

Early bird Rates - Booking closes on the 1st of June

Normal Rates - Booking available from the 2nd of June until 1st of August

*we will do our best to match you with a room partner. If we are unable to find you a participant to share a room then you will automatically be given a Single Share room and the difference in price must be added to your payment.


**This tour is based on a minimum of 5 guests and a maximum of 10 guests traveling, and the tour is confirmed when the minimum is reached.


Deposit schedule

- 25% to 5o% deposit at time of booking, per person (depending on plan chosen)

- Full and final payment latest 30 days prior to day 1 of the retreat

If Bali Interiors is unable to confirm your reservation, all deposit monies received by Bali Interiors will be refunded to you.


Cancelation by the Traveler

More than 30 days prior to arrival: loss of deposit Less than 30 days prior to arrival or during the retreat: loss of 100%; however, if we are able to replace your spot, we will refund you 80% of the total retreat costs.


Please read these booking conditions carefully, as they set out the parties’ respective rights and obligations. By booking your tour and paying the deposit, you (referred to in these booking conditions as "you" or "guest") agree that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these booking conditions. References in these booking conditions to the "tour" are references to the tour you have booked with Bali Interiors. References to "excursions" are references to short trips or tours included in or available as part of your "tour." We may modify our booking conditions without notice at any time where such amendment does not substantially affect your rights and obligations. If any changes to the booking conditions substantially affect your rights and obligations, we will notify you of these changes as soon as possible.

Accomodation

For the 6 nights of the retreat, you will be staying at a private villa in Canggu. It is an Italian style villa with 180 degrees rice field views, a large private courtyard and a swimming pool overlooking the rice paddies. The villa is fully staffed and contains 5 newly renovated bedrooms all with en-suit bathrooms, a large dining area and living room, a spa room, and multipurpose room for workouts and yoga. As well the villa contains many shared spaces to relax and share meals. 


The villa is conveniently located in Babakan, which is 5 minutes from Canggu buzzing life, 10 minutes to Batu Bolong Beach. Babakan is a small quiet village in a tranquil part of Canggu.

Travel documents

Travel insurance

You are required to have travel insurance confirmed prior to departure. Please email a copy of your travel insurance to admin@bali-interiors.com to confirm this. Other documents – final itineraries and detailed travel information will be forwarded to you two weeks prior to departure.


Covid-19 travel requirements

You are responsible for informing yourself about Covid-19 related travel requirements to Indonesia. Bali Interiors can not be held responsible for any problems that might occur in relation to vaccines or tests.

Cancelation Policy

Cancellation by the traveller

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must provide Bali Interiors with notice in writing. Cancellations are only effective upon receipt by Bali Interiors of such written notice. 


More than 30 days prior to arrival: deposit loss. Less than 30 days prior to arrival or during the retreat: loss of 100%. However, if we are able to replace your spot, we will refund you 80% of the total retreat costs. Alternatively, if we are able to replace your spot, these funds can be used for a future Bali Interiors retreat date.


If the traveller does not pay all installments at the time each payment is due, this will be considered cancellation by the traveller. 


Cancelation or changes by Bali Interiors

Although Bali Interiors endeavours to provide you with all the services confirmed at the time of your booking of your tour, we reserve the right to amend, cancel or make substitutions for any

travel component without prior notice to you, including hotels, if, in Bali Interiors’ opinion, the situation requires a change or cancellation of arrangements.


Bali Interiors does not assume any responsibility or liability for any loss, inconvenience or expense incurred as a result of any change or cancellation.


Changes to itineraries

Your itinerary is a guide only, and is subject to alteration without notice. Alterations may be necessary for various reasons including, without limitation, road, river or weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to vary your itinerary in these circumstances and to provide alternative services including, but not limited to, substitute transport arrangements.


Changes due to force majeure

If Bali Interiors is required to or elects in its absolute discretion (whether directly or through its employees, contractors, subcontractors or agents) to make a change to, or cancel, a booking (or any part of it, including excursions) due to force majeure (for example, circumstances such as political unrest, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, closure of airports or ports, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, epidemic or health risk, acts of God, changes in laws or regulations, adverse weather conditions, travel warnings or advices issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, or other similar events beyond our control), we will either: (a) terminate your booking (in whole or in part) in which circumstance no refund will apply. (b) change your travel arrangements as reasonably practicable to ensure your safety.


Additional charges may apply. Bali Interiors accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any cancellation or changes to your tour package due to an event of force majeure. It is your responsibility to ensure your travel insurance adequately protects you in the event of cancellation.


The tour and excursions require a minimum number of guests to be financially viable and to ensure a pleasant group experience. If the minimum number of 6 guests for the tour is not achieved, we reserve the right to cancel the tour and refund the money paid to Bali Interiors.



Health And Medical

When traveling on an international tour, you must be prepared to carry and show valid proof of vaccination (or exemption) when it's a requirement for your trip, or you may be denied entry. It's your responsibility to know your vaccination status and ensure your vaccination certificate meets Indonesian requirements. A good level of fitness and health are required to participate in this journey.


In some destinations, there are extensive sightseeing excursions by foot, which can include climbing stairs and walking on uneven surfaces. It is your responsibility to advise Bali Interiors of any preexisting medical conditions that may affect the normal conduct of the tour and the enjoyment of other guests.


It is the responsibility of the traveler to provide information regarding their own health. For more information on the COVID-19 travel restrictions, visitors can consult their government website.

Check In

Check in at the villa after 3 pm. Canapés, welcome drinks and an opening Balinese ceremony is prepared for the participants as well as a massages to get you relaxed before the big week ahead. Later that night, we will have an exclusive dinner at Sheila's home with a keynote speaker.

Home Visits and Dinner at Sheila's Home

Homes, homes and more homes! We have organised a full day of Home visits to the most beautiful private villas in Bali. We will finish the night by going to one of Sheila's favourite restaurants.

Sustainability, Architecture & Hand Crafted Goods

Today is all about handcrafted goods and sustainability. We will visit the architecture studio of a bamboo architect, a ceramic factory that is changing the ways of sustainability in ceramic production,  and a textile factory that focus solely on sustainable practices. We will dine at two beautiful beach front restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Boat Trip to Sheila's favourite Island

One of the most beautiful ways to explore Bali is by boat! Let's take a day to enjoy its surrounding islands by taking a private boat on a special excursion!  There will be snorkelling, swimming and eating delicious food, all while having plenty of laughter and sunshine!

Sourcing , Creativity & Future of Design

On Thursday we will be visiting the studio of an incredible lighting designer. After we are going to do sourcing on some secret factories in kerobokan and denpasar that will blow your mind!

After we will be having lunch at a beautiful homewares store with the store owner and. In the afternoon we will be touring the hotel that is leading the way in terms of design, sustainability and culture. We will finish the evening with a private dinner at a restaurant designed by one of the leading interior architect in Bali.

Sourcing, Workshop, Heaven on Earth and Final Dinner

Today is the last day of the retreat. We will be souring for goods in Ubud. We will be visiting the most magical bamboo hotel in Bali and have a swim on natural spring waters and finish our evening at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the rice fields at sunset time.

Today is check out time. We can sleep in, have breakfast and enjoy the villa until its time to go home
