Celebrate New Year's Eve in luxury in the Eternal City with Latrese & Giacomo!  We will visit a few familiar places like the Pantheon and St. Peter's Square but the goal of this trip is to enjoy winter in Rome without the typical tourist haunts.  We will spend time shopping and visiting some places off the beaten path.  What's New Year's Eve without a blow out bash?  Besides a New Year's Eve party, we will also attend a smaller birthday party/dj set for Giacomo!  Our goal is to share with you the city that we love at a magical time of the year! 

Please plan to leave the US on Friday December 27th to arrive in Rome at Fiumicino Airport FCO on Saturday December 28th.  

Benvenuto a Roma!  After you check in to the hotel and freshen up, join us for a Welcome lunch where we will meet each other and go over details for your stay! Later we will head out for a tour and cooking class. During our tour we will see how Rome is lit up at Christmastime!

Shopping, shopping, and more shopping! We will start the day at one of Rome's open air markets for the bargain hunters.  Post Christmas sales will be in full effect so after that, we will head to the high end stores near Spagna and the more mid range shops of Via del Corso, where you can feel free to shop or window shop until your heart is content. We will meet for lunch and then head to one more stop where we will wrap up shopalooza at a flagship department store with incredible rooftop views. After, we will return to the hotel to drop your buys and take a nice break, before making our way to dinner and the opera.   

Road Trip!  In the morning, we will head up to Florence where we will start with a walking tour and end with lunch.  After we eat, please enjoy some free time and explore the city center on your own. Florence is completely walkable and you should enjoy ambling down its streets full of art and shopping.  We will then head from Florence to the Tuscan countryside for wine tasting and dinner.  Afterwards and slightly tipsy, we will head back to Rome.

Rome's version of Central Park is Villa Borghese and we will spend the morning viewing this lovely park and visiting their art galleries.  We will then have lunch, after which, we will head back to the hotel so you can prepare for the evening's celebrations! In Rome, they call New Year's Eve, Capodanno!  To usher in 2025, we will party together at a large NYE party!  Tickets, appetizers, and 2 drinks are included. 

In the morning, we will head out to view the Nativity Scene at the Vatican.  It changes every year! We will be at St Peter's Square where the Pope usually performs mass so we may catch a glimpse! Note: we will not tour the Vatican. We will then grab some lunch and from there head outside Rome to the city of Frascati where we will visit a vineyard with wine tasting.  Afterwards we will attend a pizza making class where we will enjoy the spoils of our labor. After dinner feel free to enjoy a "passagiata" or walk around Frascati for a bit before we head back to Rome. 

Day Trip to Tivoli! We will hit the road after breakfast about an hour outside of Rome to visit the magical city of Tivoli for the day.  It is a Unesco Site and home of the beautiful Villa Estee.  We will tour the Villa and have lunch.  Afterwards, enjoy some time to enjoy the city on your own.  We will then regroup and head back to Rome where you can get a bit of rest and enjoy dinner on your own.  

The afternoon will be spent luxuriating at the spa which will include a 200 Euro spa credit.  After you are loose and limber, we will celebrate Giacomo's Birthday at an intimate private party and DJ set!

Ciao for now!  You will depart the hotel for the airport headed home.
