Day 1 - Tarangire

Day 1 - Tarangire image

Explore the stunning Tarangire National Park

After being introduced to your friendly private safari guide, we’ll settle the formalities and begin our drive out onto Tarangire National Park, arriving with plenty of time for an afternoon game drive. With huge numbers of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and antelope, particularly in the dry season between June and October, the Tarangire River is the perfect wildlife spotting destination.

Elephants in particular love this area as they roam through Tarangire’s savannah and shelter from the sun under the Baobab (upside-down trees). This area is a bird watchers paradise as it’s home to over 550 different bird species, the most diverse in Africa, including the Kori Bustard, the heaviest flying bird on earth!

Day 2 - Serengeti

Day 2 - Serengeti image

Visit the world-famous Serengeti National Park

On Day 2, after a big delicious breakfast we will head out onto one of the world’s greatest game parks – The Serengeti. Meaning “endless plains” in Maasai, it is Tanzania’s oldest game reserve. The Serengeti is world-famous for the role it plays in the annual Great Migration, where an estimated two million herbivores – mostly wildebeest and zebra – migrate from the Serengeti to Kenya’s Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Driving through the grasslands, you will be awestruck by the endless savanna plains and the vibrant colors of the sunset, which create a stunning backdrop for the magnificent wildlife.

Day 3 - Serengeti

Continue exploring the vast Serengeti plains

Day 3 of the itinerary promises to be yet another exhilarating adventure in the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, building upon the remarkable experiences of the previous day. The day begins with an early morning game drive, offering an opportunity to witness the stunning wildlife at sunrise. As we traverse the vast plains of the park, we will undoubtedly come across a diverse range of wildlife in their natural habitat.

During the game drive, you will encounter numerous animals such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and wild dogs, which are known for their incredible hunting skills. If we're lucky, we might catch a glimpse of a pride of lions on the hunt or cheetahs chasing down their prey at high speed. With the park being home to over 500 bird species, you might also spot various birds such as eagles, storks, and ostriches.

Following the game drive, we will return to our accommodation for a sumptuous breakfast, after which we will set out for yet another day of exploring the Serengeti. As we venture out into the vast plains, we will witness the magnificent landscape, which has made the Serengeti a popular destination for travelers from all around the world. The park's wide-open savannahs, rocky outcrops, and rolling hills provide a breathtaking backdrop for the wildlife we'll be encountering.

Throughout the day, we will come across numerous species of wildlife, including immense herds of buffalo, towering giraffes, majestic elephants, and various gazelle species. We might also spot elusive leopards resting on the branches of trees, while hippos wallow in the cool waters of the park's rivers.

With the day drawing to a close, we will head back to our accommodations with an abundance of unforgettable memories and experiences to cherish. Day 3 of the itinerary is sure to leave you in awe of the natural beauty and remarkable wildlife of the Serengeti National Park.

Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater

Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater image

Be immersed in the abundance of the Ngorongoro Crater

After a night of reminiscing of the previous day’s exploring and some well-earned rest, you will drive to the fascinating wildlife arena of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area is special as the crater it’s based in was formed over 2-3 million years ago after a volcano exploded and collapsed on itself.

Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is over 260 km² (100 miles²) long and is often referred to as “Africa’s Eden”. Home to more than 25,000 large mammals, it is not unusual to see all of the “Big Five” (buffalo, elephants, rhino, lions, and leopards) in one day – as well as flamingos, zebras, wildebeests, and hyenas. You'll be captivated by the sheer size and beauty of this natural wonder.
