Welcome to the Yoga and Adventure Retreat of Our Dreams at Sansara Resort in Cambutal, Panama! 

We’ll spend 6 nights and 7 days at the beautiful Sansara Resort located on the Pacific Ocean in stunning Cambutal, Panama. Your days will be filled with yoga, friendship, adventure, and relaxation. You will have a wide array of activities including surfing, SUP, fishing, hiking, bike riding, and exploring all that Panama has to offer.

Located at the southernmost point of Panama in the Azuero Peninsula, Cambutal is a small village in the province of Los Santos, about 5 hours away from the country’s capital, Panama

City. Where mountains meet the sea, this area has been described as a mix between the wild-west and Hawaii- with a lot less people! With empty waves and uninhabited black sand beaches- Cambutal is the perfect destination to get away from it all and remember who you are! 

And in the midst of this untouched paradise is Sansara Resort.  With an onsite restaurant and bar,  a thatched roof yoga shala facing the Pacific Ocean, a 5-star spa, and a ton of opportunities for adventure every single day, this will be a week to cherish.

Sansara has an onsite restaurant and a bar called The Buddha Bar and Restaurant.  Supporting local farmers and fisherman, be prepared for a true farm-to-table experience. From Avocado-Toast for breakfast to Fresh Fish Tacos for lunch, their chefs will ensure you are fueled after all your activities. Dinner is a combination of family style meals to encourage sharing and passing plates, to a three-course chef's menu utilizing flavors from all over the world with ingredients local to Panama. (v, V, GF, DF).  All meals at Sansara are included in the price of the retreat.  

The Buddha Bar is fully stocked with local micro-brews and kombucha on tap & fresh and artistic cocktails & mocktails, and is open all day lol.

Sansara has a gorgeous, open air thatched-roof yoga shala facing the Pacific.  The yoga will be hot power, and taught daily by both Tara and Shawna.  We'll spice it up, we'll have fun, we'll learn new things.  

Like mentioned earlier, Cambutal has been compared to that of Hawaii- and not just because it’s serene and beautiful, but because of the surf. We have quick, easy access to beach breaks, point breaks and reef breaks- so whatever you’re looking for, they have it..

The area has a unique blend of geography and wind- creating perfect conditions for all level of surfers.

The retreat comes with one surf lesson taught on-land in the yoga shala.  If you'd like, you can learn how to surf with Surf Sansara surf school, or go on surfing excursions with the crew.  These two options are optional and at an additional cost.  You could go surfing every single day if you wanted to. 

Sansara has a spa that offers a full menu of incredible spa services, all while you listen to the waves crash on the beach.  I think we should all take advantage of the onsite spa!  We will be able to book our spa services once we're there. 

We suggest all guests arrive in Panama City (PTY) on Saturday, January 6th, 2024.  This gives you one day/night to explore the historic district (Casco Viejo) of Panama City. On Sunday morning, January 7th, between 8:30 - 9:00am the included transportation will pick you up from one of the recommended hotels in Casco Viejo (see below) and take us, in luxury, to Cambutal. 

We also suggest enjoying an extra night in Panama City on the return, however if you need to fly out on the Saturday, please book a flight no earlier than 6:00pm on January 13th, 2024

Airport transportation (to/from the hotel in Panama City)  is not included. If you wish to arrange airport transportation try the trusted transportation provider called Pineapple Shuttle

We'll have a fun group dinner that is included in the price in Panama City on Saturday, January 6th.  Location TBD

You could do a different super fun, adventurous excursion every single day if you wanted to. 

Surf one day, SUP and bike riding the next, a 4x4 jungle expedition the day after, and an excursion to a remote island off the coast of Cambutal the day after that.  Finish up with a spa day or spend the whole week lounging at the pool, imbibing at the bar, or reading a book and napping in your gorgeous room or on the beach.   We can start to carve out the week once we get much closer to departure, but that's the vibe.  Sansara offers all of this, and we'll be in great hands.
