About your trip

Explore the wild, remote beauty of Finland at the transition of the Autumn Equinox. A full week of yoga, meditation and activities in the heart of Finland's stunning wilderness.

Escape from the day-to-day hustle and retreat to the support of nature and contemplative practices.

Reawaken your sense of reverence and appreciation for life.

Deeply replenish your resources and your sense of what is possible.

Enjoy the company of a small group guided by a teacher who will meet you were you are.

Relax into the comfort of an eco-holisitc retreat centre were wellness is central.

This retreat offering comes from an embodied understanding that in order for the planet to thrive we each need to thrive too and deeply connect with our creative potential and sense of meaning in life.

Your home for the week is a private eco-holistic retreat centre, conceived as an intentional space  to promote ultimate restoration of the body, mind & soul on a deep level. It is the perfect place for yoga both inside and in the great outdoors! We will have the whole place to ourselves and you will be a small group of 6-8 people, allowing for lots of attention and an intimate group atmosphere.

Surrounded by lakes and forests, the surrounds are ideal for hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, natural swimming, foraging wild food and visiting ancient rock paintings.

When it’s time to come indoors, the rooms are peaceful and cosy From the materials used in the building renovation to the organic cleaning protocol, every detail has been considered to help guests rejuvenate and replenish their energy.

Naturally there is a traditional Finnish sauna for you to enjoy during your retreat. Sauna is the ancient Finnish pharmacy, where you can melt away all your stress while simultaneously improving your vascular health and flushing toxins from your body.

As part of your retreat you will have the opportunity to immerse in a unique immerse sound journey and a guided outdoor wilderness experience in the national park - both facilitated by the staff at Olo.

Most of all you will have the chance to really tune into this transitional Autumn time to leave you feeling resourced, more spacious and grounded and in touch with a sense of reverence for life.

This will be a practice rich retreat, making the most of the surrounding nature and the Autumn season. Under Mandy's expert guidance, you will be safely guided into yoga flows that blend breathwork, meditation and asana. You will have the chance to enjoy daily yoga nidra for deep rest and rejuvenation and uplifting chanting of Sanskrit mantras to nourish and strengthen your heart.

Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery with daily practice sessions, offering a diverse range of meditation, asana flows, restorative yin practices, philosophical teachings, yoga nidra and chanting sessions.

Join us for an unforgettable retreat in the Finnish wilderness, where you can experience integration and harmony of body, heart and mind and leave ready to transition into the fullness of Autumn deeply resourced.

Getting there

The most convenient way is to fly to Helsinki, which is easily accessible from all major airports.

From Helsinki there’s then a 50 mins domestic flight to Savonlinna with Finnair which costs around 75€ each way (please note this price is booking for at least three months ahead).

The retreat centre is less than 30 minutes from the airport by taxi. A shared transfer is included in your retreat price. If you prefer a private transfer, or your arrival/departure falls outside the designated taxi transfer times I will help you to book your own taxi which will need to be paid for separately.

The taxi transfer included with your retreat fee will depart from Savonlinna airport around 6:30pm. For your return the taxi will leave the retreat centre around midday.

I suggest that you book these flights between Helsinki and Savonlinna:

https://www.booking.com/flight-X2AzYIxsRF

You can also travel from Helsinki to Savonlinna by train. You will need your own private taxi transfer from the station to the retreat centre and it costs €70 each way, taking about 40 minutes. The journey time by train is about 4 hours, with one change and you can travel for as little as €15 each way. You can search and book directly (in English) on the Finnish rail website here:

https://www.vr.fi/en

The retreat begins with dinner on 19th and ends after breakfast on 25th.
