We conducted our first biking tour in Puglia (aka Apuglia) in 1999 and we've watched the travel world slowly rediscover a region that in ancient times was the gateway to adventure and exploration.
This trip has it all; tour olive oil producers, cheese makers and wineries; see Italy's largest underground grotto and enjoy a tour of the Murghese riding horses. All of this and more as we offer daily rides to suit the novice to the advanced cyclist. You stay in your very own trullo (seen above) and then enjoy 4 and 5 star lodging throughout the tour.

A trullo residence within the gnome-like village of Alberobello is courtesy of our friends/hosts Dino and Antonella. Cycle between Puglia's fairytale landscapes, be awed by the stalagmites/tites of Italy's largest caves, enjoy olive oil, wine tasting and village tours; then see how mozzarella is made and tour the breeding facilities of the rare Murghese breed of horses (same horses used in Central Park NYC and at the Vatican).
Cycle to the blue-green waters of Puglia's Adriatic Sea then ease your way through the ancient olive groves of trees up to 2000 yrs old before we reach whitewashed Ostuni. Discover powerful Rome's "Trajan Way" and visit the medieval Jewish district of Oria en route to Lecce, a baroque masterpiece.
Enjoy a private city tour of Lecce, then medieval stone towers line a breathtaking secluded coastal ridge that dramatically falls into several surreal blue-green grottoes—enjoy a swim or even a mud bath. Two seas meet as we cycle around Italy’s heel of the boot, then feel a new sense of discovery as we enter the timeless island-town of Gallipoli.
