This bucket-list adventure begins in Cape Town, South Africa on the morning of Wednesday, January 24 (you must arrive in Cape Town on Jan. 23 or earlier; the Jan 23-24 hotel night in Cape Town is included). You may choose to join us for the full 13-day adventure from Cape Town to Kruger to Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, or you can join us for only days 1-9 and depart from Johannesburg. The itinerary includes all of the details, but here's a quick summary of this amazing trip!
Cape Town to Kruger to Johannesburg (Days 1-9)
In Cape Town we will take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain, get in some great hiking, visit the Cape of Good Hope, do some wine tasting, visit the penguins, and so much more! You will love exploring this beautiful city and the surrounding area with our local tour guide.
After our amazing time in Cape Town, we will fly from Cape Town to Hoedspruit on January 27 (flight included in price) to embark on a 5-day safari in the Greater Kruger National Park where we will likely see the big 5 and so much more! At our safari camp you will be pampered at an all-inclusive resort with all the luxury amenities.
Next up, we will be transported by bus across the picturesque Panorama Route on the way to Johannesburg. At this point (Day 9, February 1), you may choose to end your adventure in Johannesburg and depart for home.
Johannesburg to Victoria Falls (Days 10-13)
For those extending their stay with us, we will explore the sights and history of Johannesburg on February 2 before continuing on to one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World... Victoria Falls! On February 3, we will fly from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls (flight included in price). Here we will view the Falls from multiple angles, go on a cruise along the Zambezi river where we are sure to see hippos, and attend a traditional Boma Drum dinner. In Victoria Falls, there are additional exciting excursions offered that you can choose to add on - gorge swing, zipline, or a helicopter ride. Our trip will end in Victoria Falls on Monday, February 5.

We will be doing two moderate-level hikes (2-3 miles each) in the Cape Town area. During our tours throughout Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Victoria Falls, we will be walking approximately 5 miles per day with multiple breaks. Guests should be in good physical health to fully enjoy this experience.

Travel insurance is highly recommend to cover any unforeseen events. Chicas Abroad will provide you with a link to our recommended carrier upon booking, but you may choose any carrier.
Alcoholic drinks are at your own expense, with the exception of the included wine tour and beer/wine at the Kruger safari camp.
Your Chicas Abroad tour leader works countless hours before and during the trip to ensure a seamless experience so you can adventure more and worry less! $20-40 per day is typical and much appreciated

Today we will jump on the wine tram and visit numerous wineries and taste the delicious wines of the region. This beautiful region looks very similar to the south of France and the wines are top notch! You will have the opportunity to purchase wines to ship or take home with you!

Today is going to be a long day, but you are guaranteed to love it. We will visit the endangered penguins at Boulders Bay, drive along a scenic route with views of the magnificent ocean and surrounding mountains, and of course a visit to Cape Point (where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet) to hike to the Cape of Good Hope, which is the southwestern most point of Africa. This day is sure to bring all the feels with the cute penguins and the majestic views.

Today we will explore Cape Town and see all of the must sees, including a sunrise hike up Lion's Hill, and a cable car up to the top of one of the 7 Wonders of Nature - Table Mountain. We will visit the colorful area of Bo-Kaap, and spend some time by the sea enjoying the beautiful views. You can even take a dip in the chilly Atlantic Ocean if you are brave!

We will say goodbye to Cape Town and board a flight to Hoedspruit to enter the Greater Kruger area. Be ready to be transported to a whole new world and feel like you are in a fantasy world. Upon arrival at our luxury safari camp (Motswari Private Game Reserve), we will be escorted to our beautiful huts that are fully equipped with gorgeous bathrooms, air conditioning, and all the comforts of home, as well as a view of passing by animals! Here we will receive all-inclusive treatment with morning and evening game drives, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as included beer and wine. Be prepared to be blown away at the hospitality and the up close animal sightings!

Today we will continue our safari camp experience with early morning and evening game drives to view the animals when they are most active. We are very likely to see the big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, cape buffalo, and rhino), plus SO many more amazing animals in their natural habitat. Imagine driving around a bend and encountering a herd of elephants or impala or zebras! It's absolutely amazing!

The guides and drivers at Motswari are top-notch and so much fun! We will enjoy coffee/tea and snacks on our morning game drives, and a "sundowner" together on our evening game drive where wine/beer/spirits and snacks are served. Even though these are open air safari jeeps, you will feel very safe the whole time with these magnificent guides and drivers leading the way.

Besides the amazing game drives each day, you will have plenty of time to relax at the pool, play games in the various lounge areas, take a nap, or relax with a beverage while watching the watering hole where any animal may walk up at anytime.

Today we will have one last game drive in the morning where we will say goodbye to our animal friends as well as our amazing guides and drivers. It will be a sad day to leave them all, but we have so much adventure ahead! Our private bus will take us along a beautiful route with multiple stops to view sights on our way to Graskop. This small village is a common place for travelers to stay between Kruger and Johannesburg. We will enjoy a quiet evening here and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Today we will continue our trek by private bus from Graskop to Johannesburg. Our driver will inform us of the beautiful sights along the way and there will be many stops to see the majestic views.

At the end of this day, some guests may choose to end their journey and depart from Johannesburg. Others will continue on with the tour for 4 additional days.
Today we will experience the vibrant cultural diversity of South Africa and learn more about its turbulent history with a tour of Soweto and the Apartheid Museum. This tour includes a walk through the streets of an informal settlement, visiting historic sites and lunch at a lively restaurant in the city.

Today we will fly from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls to settle into our beautiful lodge-style accommodations and enjoy an evening sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. We are sure to see many hippos on this tour and maybe other wildlife roaming the shores. Back at our lodge, there's a watering hole to catch sites of elephants, hyenas, giraffes, and who knows what else! Plus we are sure to see baboons roaming around town.

Today we will walk the trail along the full length of the majestic Victoria Falls to see this Wonder of the Natural World from all angles. There are opportunities today to add on an elephant encounter, helicopter tour, gorge swing, or zip-line for the adventurous ladies. There will also be time to wander around the town of Victoria Falls and enjoy a nice lunch and visit the shops. In the evening we will attend a traditional Boma Drum dinner where you can feast on local fare, including Mopani worms if you are brave!

Today we must say our goodbyes to our fellow Chicas and depart from Victoria Falls airport back home, or wherever your next adventure takes you. Transport to the VFA airport from the hotel is included.
