Buenos Aires with a Queer Twist + Queer Tango Night

Today, we set off to continue exploring Buenos Aires' history and Queerstory!

We'll start by visiting the Retiro and Recoleta areas, the posh, upscale districts for which Buenos Aires is nicknamed "the Paris of South America". Then, we're off to see the National Congress and talk about the LGBT+ history of activism that has turned Argentina into one of the most inclusive parts of the world for our community.

Then, we'll have lunch at Maricafé, a quaint and colorful LGBT+ restaurant.

After seeing the house of Carlos Jáuregui, creator of the Homosexual Community of Argentines, we're off to the Evita Perón Museum to discuss how queerness and Peronism intersect. Then, it's off to the city's Rose Gardens before we make our way to the most important part of our day: high school Mocha Celis.

Mocha Celis is the first high school for trans and non-binary students, and has turned into a blueprint that has replicated all accross the country. Here you'll hear from the students themselves what it feels like to go to such an inclusive and affirming institutions. The students will guide you inside the school as part of our joint efforts to help the trans community be a part of the travel industry.

After dinner, we're heading out for a Queer Tango class and milonga outing, where you'll learn how to dance the tango in an inclulsive space.
