This one of a kind, LAO-centered restoration & rejuvenation retreat is intentional in centering your holistic mental health & wellness needs, laughter/LOLz, and creative experiences.
Our beautiful retreat home is tucked away in a peaceful San Diego neighborhood, about 25 minutes from the beach. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, sharing stories next to the ocean, or enjoying Lao American fusion meals, you’ll be held in a space where you can just be. :)

HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE (San Diego, CA):
We recommend flying into San Diego International Airport (SAN)—about 25-30 minutes from the retreat home. After your deposit, we’ll schedule a 20-minute 1x1 video call to walk you through travel options and connect you with others who may be flying or driving in from the same area.

Q: What is included in the wellness retreat package?
A: Your retreat package includes 3 nights, 4 days of accommodation, a welcome gift, meals prepared by retreat chefs, wellness practices & activities (i.e. meditation, body massages, breath work, and gentle somatic movement), workshops, and time to rest and reset.
Q: Is there a payment plan?
A: Yes! A non-refundable, non-transferable $350-450 deposit secures your spot. Remaining payments can be made in installments through WeTravel.
Q: Is transportation provided?
A: No, but we’ll help you figure out the best travel options and coordinate with other participants to carpool or share rides where possible.
Q: Can I park at the venue?
A: Yes, there is free parking on-site.
Q: What should I bring?
A: We recommend comfy clothing, a swimsuit, shoes for walking or lounging, a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and anything that helps you feel grounded and cared for. A detailed packing list will be provided before the retreat.
Q: Can I bring my own snacks or food?
A: Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring anything you may need based on your food preferences or dietary needs.
Q: Is there an age minimum?
A: Yes, all participants must be 18 or older.
Q: Can I bring a pet?
A: Only service animals will be permitted at the retreat site & must be approved beforehand.
Q: Is there Wi-Fi?
A: Yes, but we encourage folks to unplug and slow down during your time here.
Q: What’s the cancellation policy?
A: We do not offer refunds unless the retreat is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Q: Are all activities and workshops included?
A: Yes, all scheduled programming is included in your retreat package.
Q: Will I know who I’m rooming with ahead of time?
A: Yes, once the retreat is fully booked, we’ll share rooming assignments with everyone.
Q: Do I need proof of vaccination or a COVID test?
A: No. However, if you’re feeling unwell before the retreat or have health concerns, please contact us directly at healingoutlaod@gmail.com so we can support you and make any necessary accommodations.
Q: Will alcohol or substances be allowed at the retreat?
A: No. This retreat is a sober and substance-free space. We ask that all participants refrain from using alcohol or substances during our time together. This helps us maintain a supportive, grounded, and healing environment that honors everyone's safety and care.
Q: Can I extend my stay?
A: No, the retreat ends around 1pm Sunday, March 8th, 2026. However, you may decide to stay longer after the retreat in San Diego via your private travel plans.

Friday, March 6th, 2025
7:30 AM – Sunrise Journaling
Ease into the morning with reflection and intention as the sun rises over San Diego.
8:30 AM – Complimentary Breakfast
Enjoy a nourishing Lao-inspired breakfast to start the day.
9:30 AM – Coastal Walk or Gentle Beachside Hike
We’ll head out together for a guided walk along the coast—connecting with nature, our bodies, and each other.
12:00 PM – Nourishing Lunch at Lao restaurant + Midday Break
Savor a delicious Lao American meal by a favorite San Diego Lao-owned restaurant. Afterwards, take time to rest, nap, or enjoy the pool.
2:00 PM – WORKSHOP #1: Healing Generational Trauma & Building Resilience
A grounding session by Licensed Therapist Rita, exploring how our stories live in the body—and how we reclaim our power through community healing.
4:00 PM – Break Time
Rest, journal, connect, or just be.
6:30 PM - WORKSHOP #2: Lao Cooking Class
Learn how to cook and prepare Lao food from HOL's retreat chef to fuel your soul's satisfaction.
8:30 PM – Evening Wind Down: Guided Meditation and/or Restorative Yoga
Slow down, soften, and land back in your body before sleep.
Saturday, March 7th, 2025
8:00 AM – Slow Morning Rituals + Optional Breathwork
Ease into your day with gentle movement, breath, or simply sitting in stillness.
9:00 AM – Breakfast Served
Fuel your body with a lovingly prepared Lao-style breakfast.
10:00 AM – WORKSHOP #3: Banana Leaves and Traditional Flora Making (Loy Krathong)
Together, we will learn how to make sustainable and traditional offerings from flowers and banana leaves.
12:00 PM – Lunch + Midday Break
Take your time to nourish, nap, journal, or enjoy the pool and outdoor spaces.
2:00 PM – Free Time / Optional 1:1 Bodywork or Creative Space
Whether you want to get a massage, create something, or just rest, this is your time.
4:30 PM - Begin Baci Ceremony
Participate in a sacred collective Lao ritual to call back your spirit, honor your journey, and ground you in wholeness before returning home.
6:00 PM – Final Dinner Celebration
Our last meal together—come as you are. Get cozy, reflect, and enjoy.
8:00 PM – Closing Circle + Release of Loy Krathongs
We’ll gather one last time to honor what we’re letting go, what we’re reclaiming, and what we’re carrying forward in the spirit of Boun Ork Pansa.
