Joe Potter 2 week trip to Ghana to visit Franklin Nuamah and experience local culture, history, sites and community August 5th-19th 2024. Leaving New York August 5th landing in Ghana the morning of August 6th. Then leaving Ghana the morning of August 19th. Because of rainy season we have some flexiblity in the itnerary if we have to adjust anything around because of weather.

We can help you get Visa on Arrival. The Fee is $200. All that's needed is a picture of your passport and your flight itinerary. You will receive a digital Visa before you leave to show the airline before flying to Ghana

After landing at the Kotoka International Airport, our team will transport you to your lodging in Accra. You'll have a chance to change money and rest before you head to dinner

Sunday fun day in Accra. Buffet Brunch at Labadi Beach Hotel with Live Band then relax and chill at Polo Beach Club.
Enjoy the amazing cuisine of Ghana learning different recipies while learning the historical significance behind all the traditions we have. Also get to make your own batik fabric using our traditional adinkra symbols
Early 5am Morning departure from Accra for Kumasi by road. On arrival check into hotel then have lunch. Then a visit to Manhyia Palace ( Ashanti King's Palace) , then return to hotel to relax and dinner
Enjoy Sunday Brunch with Franklin and enjoy the afternoon hang out in his hometown
Morning Visit Bonwire Kente weaving center to learn the meaning and origins of Ghana's Royal Kente Cloth then afternoon at the cultural center. Return to Hotel for dinner and relaxation
Late morning checkout from hotel after breakfast to head to Cape Coast in the central region ( unfortunately theres no flights there so we have to drive about 3.5hrs. We will take breaks along the way for restroom and stretching) Arrival into Cape Coast in the afternoon. Check into hotel, relax before dinner and entertainment.
Visit Assin Manso the "last bath" ancestral grounds that the slaves were taken to before the Slave Dungeons. Traditional naming ceremony then journey to the door of no return at the Cape Coast Slave Castle. Return to hotel for dinner and reflection
Relaxed morning then head back to Accra (3.5 hr drive back to Accra) after Checkout. Return to Accra in the afternoon. Relax before evening dinner and entertainment

You will have the chance to visit art galleries for some potential art of interest and or relax for the day before dinner.
Today You'll have the opportunity to enjoy Akosambo boating experience where the river meet the sea followed by an amazing all you can eat brunch with local and continental cusine. Note that this experience is 2 hours outside of Accra. So we'd leave in the morning and come back early evening.
