Depart Bolzano at 10AM and hike in Val Gardena. Stay in Alta Badia.

You will want to stay in Bolzano/Bozen the night before the tour and enjoy the old town area and the fascinating "Otzi the Iceman" museum. We suggest staying at the Parkhotel Laurin, Hotel Figl or the Stadt Hotel Citta. Please arrive at 9:45AM at the Parkhotel Laurin to meet the rest of the group and we'll have a short debrief before driving for an hour to Val Garden for our first day hike.

Our first hike is an out and back hike up a beautiful valley and people can walk as far as they want or all the way to the waterfall at the end of the valley (8 miles round trip with 1,000 foot ascent and descent).  We'll have a picnic lunch in a meadow on the way. After the hike we'll drive another 45 minutes to our host hotel in Alta Badia.  You can relax in the pool/spa area and dinner is at the hotel each evening.
