Cancellation Policy

Group Cancellation Terms – Ground Services

More than 60 days prior to departure
(Before April 18, 2026)
• 80% refund of the total amount paid
• 20% non-refundable, covering administrative costs, planning, banking fees, and initial supplier commitments

Between 59 and 31 days prior to departure
(April 19 – May 17, 2026)
• 50% refund of the total amount paid

30 days or less prior to departure
(From May 18, 2026 onward)
• No refund (100% non-refundable)

No-Show / Missed Services

No refunds will be issued for no-shows, missed services, or partial use of services once the program has commenced.

Force Majeure

Florencios Tours & Travel shall not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, strikes, governmental actions, pandemics, or transportation disruptions. In such cases, refunds—if any—will be subject to supplier policies.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including trip cancellation, interruption, medical, and emergency evacuation coverage, to protect their investment.

Today the group departs Rio de Janeiro and continues the journey to Salvador, the cultural heart of Afro-Brazilian heritage. After breakfast and hotel check-out, the group transfers to the airport for the domestic flight.

Your guides will assist with hotel check-out and accompany the group to Rio’s international airport (GIG).
Airport procedures, luggage coordination, and check-in are fully supported by the guiding team to ensure a smooth transition.

Afternoon — Arrival in Salvador + Lunch Before Check-In

Upon landing in Salvador, the group goes directly to lunch at Barravento Restaurant, located along the waterfront.

Depart Salvador early for a scenic drive through the Recôncavo, passing river valleys, small rural towns, and landscapes rich in history.

Arrive at Quilombo Kaonge, a traditional Afro-descendant community.

Today, the group returns to Rio de Janeiro for the final night of the journey. This is a logistical day involving airport coordination in both El Salvador and Rio.

The tour conductor will assist with hotel check-out and accompany the group to the airport along with the local guide.
Support includes luggage coordination, check-in, and security procedures.

Domestic flight Salvador → Rio de Janeiro (GIG) is not included; They're ticketed by MIT.

Afternoon — Arrival in Rio de Janeiro (GIG)

Upon arrival, the group is greeted by our guides and transferred to the hotel.

Your journey through Brazil comes to an end today. After breakfast and check-out, travelers prepare for their international flights home. This is a flexible day designed to accommodate different departure times.

Morning — Check-Out & Luggage Coordination

Your tour conductor will be available from early morning to assist with questions, coordination, and farewell support.

  • Check out time: 12:00 p.m.

For guests with later flights, the hotel provides a secure luggage storage area. Each bag is tagged with a numbered claim ticket to ensure easy and organized retrieval.

Guests can enjoy free time until it is time to depart for the airport.

Airport Transfers (Not Included)

Airport transfers on this day are not included in the package.
Once MIT shares the final list of departure flights, transportation can be arranged using the official transfer menu previously provided. Prices vary by vehicle size and number of travelers.
