Plant Medicine Ceremonies

We will gather together in 2 Plant Medicine Ceremonies.

Grandfather San Pedro is the healing masculine energy, helping you find alignment and open your heart once more, ready to take flight. We will meet with Grandfather San Pedro next to Granfather Fire in 2 beautiful, unique ceremonies at night and in daytime.

Mama Wilka is a rare, sacred medicine that comes from the Huilko tree in the Andes. Miguel is one of a handful of people who know how to work with this medicine. Huilka is a medicine taken as a snuff, and is very visionary, intense and short. The experience usually lasts about 1 hour. This plant contains 5MEO DMT. Wilca is known to heal terminal illness, and is especially helpful for those with addictions. She teaches us about ourselves and the Universe and helps show us clearly our path in life. This is an optional ceremony for those called to her

We will provide preparation support, and we hold circles during our plant medicine retreats to discuss any questions you may have in advance. After our plant medicine ceremonies, we also have sharing circles, so you can share any pearls from your ceremony experience.

The Location

We will be located in the Southern Andes of Ecuador, in Vilcabamba, which is a world-famous town, known for the longevity of the elders here, known as the "Town of Eternal Youth" thanks to its healing waters and medicines.

Immerse yourself in nature in our retreat space, which is perfect for renewal. We will connect with the energies of the sacred and generous Andes mountains.

The accommodation has everything you need to be comfortable, feel at peace, and retreat inwards during your stay

Spring-time weather year-round

Do you plan to stay for longer? We are happy to offer recommendations for where to stay and where to visit pre or post-retreat. If you would like to extend your stay and have additional ceremonies, we can also accomodate this.

How to get there

OPTION 1 (FASTEST): You can fly to the Quito airport and take another flight to Loja (called Catamayo airport). From there you will take a taxi to Malacatos. The flight is around $60 and the taxi is about $30.

OPTION 2: Fly to Quito or Guayaquil airports (Guayaquil is closer) and take a bus to Loja (about $20). From there, you can take a taxi ($20) or bus ($2) to Malacatos.

What to bring

We are going to be in the Andes mountains where there is sunshine and occasionally rain. It gets a little chilly at night, so bring pants, a sweater, and a jacket. Bring sweat pants for nighttime. During the day, a t-shirt is usually good to wear and pants or shorts.

Bring hiking boots for our walks and swim suit in case we go to the river or pool

It can be helpful to have a small flashlight or headlamp for the ceremonies at night.

In Ecuador people mainly just accept cash; rarely you will use a card, however bring a debit or credit card to take out money from ATMs. Small change is good to have on hand.

Optional Wilka ceremony

We offer this ceremony as an extra option for those who feel called. This is a rare, sacred medicine that comes from the Huilko tree in the Andes. Miguel is one of a handful of people who know how to work with this medicine. Huilka is a medicine taken as a snuff, and is very visionary, intense and short. The experience usually lasts about 1 hour. This plant is similar to Yopo, which is slightly more well-known. This plant contains 5MEO DMT. Wilca is known to heal terminal illness, and is especially helpful for those with addictions. She is seen as a young mother often, and is quite strict, pointing out what changes we need to make in our lives. She shows us many things about the universe and ourselves.

This is $100
