Day 1 image

Day 2-3

Day 2-3 image

At sea

We will be sailing, cooking some nice meals and enjoy each other's company on the way to Bjørnøya, also known as "the Bear Island".

Day 4

Day 4 image

Exploring Bjørnøya

We will anchor up outside bear Island and try to zodiac ourselves to shore on this remove Island. What the program will be on the island depends on weather conditions and what we will be permitted to do. Some hiking, and perhaps exploring a cabin would be likely, and hopefully we will also be allowed to visit the metrological station on the island, where 8 meteorologists like year round.

Day 5-6

Day 5-6 image

At sea

We will once again be on the boat, sailing the last leg of our trip between Svalbard and Mailand Norway. Feel free to help out setting the sails and logging the course, to learn more about sailing. There will be lots of food provided, which you can also help cook while at sea.

Day 7

Day 7 image

Arrival in Longyearbyen

Upon arrival we will have to clear customs and immigration before you are free to leave at any time. Or you can stay behind for a few more days to explore and hang out with new friends from the trip.

Day 8-11

Day 8-11 image

Possible extra days

Since this trip is weather and wind dependent, there could be extra days added to make sure that we finish off what we started. So if the weather is really bad at the time we anchor up at Bjørnøya for example, we would use these days to wait for a weather window, allowing us to go to shore.
