Highlands & Islands Whisky Tour — 4 Days

A journey through stunning landscapes, island magic, and iconic distilleries, with Neil as your guide.

If you want a whisky adventure that blends dramatic scenery, island life, and some of Scotland’s most legendary distilleries, this 4‑day tour is something special. I’ll collect you from your hotel, cruise ship, airport, wherever you’re starting, and we’ll head out in comfort in my luxury Mercedes V‑Class or BMW 7 Series. Settle in, relax, and let the Highlands and Islands unfold around you.

This is a trip filled with stories, sea views, mountain passes, and unforgettable drams, all at an easy pace, with plenty of time for photos, coffee stops, and exploring.

Day 1 — Edinburgh to Oban

We begin our journey heading west through beautiful Highland scenery, with relaxed stops for photos and coffee along the way. In Oban, we visit the historic Oban Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest, known for its maritime character and rich, fruity whisky. After your tour, you’re free to explore the town, a lovely harbour, great seafood, and a proper Highland atmosphere.

Day 2 — Oban to the Isle of Skye

We travel north through dramatic landscapes, stopping at viewpoints for those postcard‑worthy photos. On Skye, we visit the legendary Talisker Distillery, famous for its smoky, maritime whisky and wild coastal setting. Then we continue to the ferry and cross over to the Isle of Skye.

Day 3 — Exploring Skye & Raasay

Today we visit the Isle of Raasay Distillery, a modern, innovative distillery producing elegant island malts inspired by the rugged landscape. Alongside the whisky, we explore Skye’s stunning scenery, one of the most popular and breathtaking places in Scotland.

Optional: Add an extra night on Skye and visit Tobermory Distillery on Mull the following day (additional cost applies).

Day 4 — Return to Edinburgh

We head back south, stopping at scenic viewpoints and landmarks along the way, capturing the final moments of your Highlands and Islands adventure.

Your itinerary can also be customised with additional distilleries or special requests, just say the word.

Accommodation: isn’t part of the tour price, but don’t worry, I’ll guide you through it. I’ll recommend a few good hotels, and once you’ve chosen the one you like, I’ll book it for you so everything’s sorted before you arrive.

A wee note about flexibility

Nothing on this tour is fixed. If you want to spend longer somewhere, add a detour, stop for photos, or grab a coffee with a view, that’s exactly what we’ll do. It’s your adventure.

My job is simple: give you a brilliant experience, keep things relaxed, and show you Scotland the way locals love it, with good company, great stories, and no rush.
