2 DEPARTURES:
Sept 24th - Oct 3rd, 2026 - SOLD OUT
Oct 5th - Oct 14th, 2026 - 2 ROOMS LEFT; PLEASE JOIN WAITLIST FOR BOOKING
Join us for an unforgettable adventure through the storied landscapes of the Peloponnese, where ancient Greece meets the rich traditions of the Mediterranean table (my favorite). I absolutely adore Greece, but have not yet had a chance to visit the mountains or the western part of the country, and I can't wait to share this adventure with you!
I also LOVE that this region is relatively unexplored by most Americans, and remains comparatively untouched when compared to many parts of Italy. My dream is to take guests to more off-the-beaten path locales and to go where tourism is contributing to a region rather than wearing it down with OVER-tourism.
We’ll explore three of the region’s most enchanting destinations—romantic Nafplio with its neoclassical charm, the dramatic cliffside fortress town of Monemvasia, and the sun-drenched countryside near Kalamata, famed for its world-class olives and fertile farmland.
As with all my tours, we’ll meet local and passionate makers, producers, and creators. We will learn about some of Greece’s most beloved dishes and try wines you've probably never experienced before. Expect a hands-on cooking class, unique learning experiences, seaside feasts, and quiet moments of connection—always with a glass of local wine in hand and the scent of herbs in the air.

Overnight: Athens, Xenodocheio Milos
We start our journey this evening in the ancient city of Athens! Our first activity is dinner, so feel free to arrive at any time today and make your way to the hotel.
If you'd like me to organize a car for you from the airport to the hotel let me know, though taxis are easy to take.
Xenodocheio Milso is our luxurious home base for tonight. This hotel is a "gastronomy 5* hotel" in the heart of Athens. A place where “philoxenia”, the sacred art of making a stranger feel like home, derives from taste, iconic simplicity and world class hospitality.
This evening, we will have our first taste of authentic Greek food and wine at a local restaurant.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Nafplio, Ennea Muses Rooms and Suites (or similar)
We leave the bustle of the city behind and head to the Pelepponese peninsula. With its inviting towns, stunning vistas, and a rich history — but relatively few tourists — the Peloponnesian Peninsula has it all.
This is an ancient land of dramatic beauty, rich history, and culinary traditions rooted in its fertile landscapes.
Early Afternoon: En route, we stop for a visit at an olive grove visit for a guided in-depth olive oil tasting and a delicious lunch.
We continue on to our hotel for the next few nights and settle in. We are within walking distance to ancient walled city of Nafplio.
Dinner: Dinner this evening is at a local restaurant in the old town center.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Overnight: Nafplio, Ennea Muses Rooms and Suites (or similar)
We set off on an adventure today! We will visit two rich archaeological sites and the wine country in the Nemea Region.
Mycenae is one of the most important archaeological sites of Greece. The fortified citadel is perched over the fertile plain of Argolis near the seashore in the northeast Peloponnese. Then we will visit the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, an exceptionally well-preserved and acoustically perfect 4th century BC theatre, famous for its sophisticated design that allows even the smallest sounds to be heard from the highest seats.
Morning: we take a tour with a local guide at both of the ancient sites of Mycenae & Epidaurus Theater to discover their fascinating history. they are about a 45 minute drive apart, so there is some travel time to each of these locations.
Afternoon: We visit a local winery for a tour of course, tasting as always, and a delicious lunch.
Evening: We will return late this afternoon to our sweet hotel for a relaxing on your own evening. While the hotel doesn't have an on-site restaurant, there are plenty of local restaurants nearby to choose from. Ask your guides for recommendations.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Monemvasia, Kinsterna Hotel (or similar)
Today we head for the Laconia region, nearby the walled city of Monemvasia.
Early Afternoon: En route, we will make a stop for lunch, and possibly an activity that combines both lunch and locals. We are working on the plan right now - you know whatever it is, it will be great!
Late Afternoon: Arrive at our gorgeous 5 star hotel, a centuries old property, replete with vineyards, gardens, and and olive groves and an on-site spa. Luxury defined!
Later, we will explore Monemvasia - a unique, medieval fortress town, built on a large rock connected to the mainland by a causeway. This fortified lower town and a castle on the summit, has narrow, cobblestone streets and a plethora of Byzantine churches.
Evening: We will have a dinner together back at our hotel, enjoying the bounty of the Laconia region.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Overnight: Monemvasia, Kinsterna Hotel (or similar)
Today, we make the trek to a very special farm in the countryside for an all day affair spent walking, relaxing, cooking, eating, and of course, drinking delicious wine! This is the definition of slow travel and slow food.
Afternoon: Cooking Class and Lunch. We will learn all about Laconic vegetarian gastronomy from our chef. We will pick fresh organic herbs and vegetables from the garden, make bread, and prepare a meal together. And of course, we will break bread and enjoy our meal, served with local wine and love!
Then we will have a Soap Making Class. We will learn about the qualities of different herbs, selecting the herbs of your choice, and combining them with organic extra virgin olive oil from the farm to make your personal soap bar with the natural cold method.
Evening: We have another relaxing evening with dinner on your own. You can choose to stay at the hotel for dinner, or we will provide a shuttle into Monemvasia (about 15 minutes away) for those who would like more time in town.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Overnight: Monemvasia, Kinsterna Hotel (or similar)
We are at a bit of a mid-point for the trip and time to take a bit of a relaxation day. Wake up, enjoy a swim, and have a delicious breakfast. This might be a good morning to make an appointment at the spa, or perhaps for later this afternoon.
For anyone interested, we could have a gentle morning movement session led by our Greek guide as well.
Morning: After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the estate, to learn its history, architecture, and a bit about the farm and gardens of this estate.
Afternoon: Honey plays a huge role in Greek desserts, and this region is famed for its apiaries (that's were bees live!). We will visit the apiary on-site to learn the art of beekeeping and have a honey tasting. So sweet!
Later Afternoon: You'll have a bit more time to relax this later afternoon, enjoy lunch on your own, either light snacks pool side or a proper lunch at the hotel restaurant.
Evening: And of course, dinner together! We will head into Monemvasia old town for a delicious meal and evening out.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Overnight: Vounaria, Colonides Beach Hotel (or similar)
We now travel on to the western coast of the region, to a seaside hotel with a private beach AND infinity pool. Heaven. En route, we will make a stop - we are still working our magic on this one! Perhaps something archeological in nature, or maybe more enological will suit. Stay tuned!
Late Morning: and Afternoon: Experience en route to break up our 3 hour drive. There will be time for lunch on your own in some sweet town as well.
Early evening: We arrive at our hotel, and after check-in, for anyone who wishes, our guide will provide an optional movement class on the beach to center and relax.
Evening: We will have a delicious meal, with a view of the sea at our hotel.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Vounaria, Colonides Beach Hotel (or similar)
Today we spend the day as Greeks on holiday do - on the water! It will be a relaxing day, spent in the nature and the wild beauty of the coast.
Afternoon: We have a beautiful afternoon lined up. We will have a private boat take us down some gorgeous coastline, snorkeling equipment, skipper, and hostess to keep us comfortable. Those who wish to enjoy a swim are welcome, or just enjoy the scenery and the beauty of doing as the Greeks do. This will last a few hours, and the waves should be gentle.
We will make a stop for lunch on land, and then continue down the coast.
Evening: All that sun and sea - another dinner is a must! We will enjoy another meal together with the ocean as our companion again.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Vounaria, Colonides Beach Hotel (or similar)
This is our final day of enjoying time near the sea, and spending time in beautiful Greece! Our first destination is Kalamata, a jewel of a city nestled between the mountains and the sea. This evening, we visit another lovely town for dinner, Koroni, considered to be the birthplace of the "Mediterranean Diet" for our farewell dinner.
Afternoon: We will take a guided walking tour today in the town of Kalamata, with its secret alleyways, courtyards, and an immense cathedral. Afterwards, we visit a traditional restaurant for a meal that showcases the best the region has to offer (and will surely include Kalamata olives!).
Late Afternoon: We head back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner, some time to pack, or perhaps a last swim in the infinity pool.
Evening: Finale Dinner in Koroni. We will toast to all of our time together at one last meal together in a town that is a gastrotourism hotspot in Greece.
Meals included: Breakfast
We've come to the end of our time together! I hope you feel rejuvenated and newly enamored of this gorgeous country.
We have a group transfer to Athens city center around 9:00am (possibly the airport, pending guest departures). We will stop en route for restrooms/snacks, as the transfer is about 3.5 hours.
It is not recommended to book flights until the late evening or following day for departure to your next destination.
Let me know if you have post-trip plans you need assistance with and/or if you'd like us to book an overnight at Xenodocheio Milos again. I am happy to arrange that for you.
Efcharisto and safe onward journeys!
