About your trip

Research shows that the longest-living and most joyous people in the world share one common trait: a sense of community. So that's exactly what we've set out to build more of. Join founders Gillian Zettler and Chandler Frisbie for a 5-day retreat at Hotel Saint Cecilia for The Drop In’s first retreat in Austin, Texas.

After searching high and low we noticed that there just weren't enough places where big-hearted people could move and heal and explore what's possible. We believe movement is medicine and it's even more powerful when we get outside of our own backyard to dig in. Join us in Austin, TX – the first place where we cordially invite you to spend some quality time moving and learning with us.

On May 15-19, mats, bikes, music, nature, and good folx will collide for the very first time. It's our first stop, but it certainly won't be the last. We’d love for you to drop in and join us.

What to Expect When You Drop In

The Drop In experiences are intentionally curated to pique curiosity, move with purpose, and offer abundant opportunities to express your individuality, build grit, and create connections.

The Movement

Gillian and Chandler’s cycling classes are intentionally crafted to be cathartic, physical, and joyful. A purposeful blend of music, movement, and messaging – the multi-sensorial sessions allow you to experience the power of a community-based, deeply connected practice.

Guest Collaborator,  Cynthia Aguillón Bernard, founder and CEO of ATX Yoga Girl, offers restorative sessions with an opportunity to connect you to go deeper into recognizing your own gifts. Mindfulness Facilitator and Sound Alchemist, she is the creator of the Cosmic Nap, a Sound Bath Journey connecting you to the cosmos and inward with the help of frequency and vibrational healing.

The Food

All meals offered during The Drop In will be locally-sourced and speak to the eclectic food culture of ATX. Highlights include a private, curated meal from renowned local Chef Philip Speer, bites from local hot spots, and a bespoke daily menu from the renowned Hotel Saint Cecilia culinary team.

Please reach out to info@thedropin.com if you have food allergies and/or dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate.

The Accommodations

Both eclectic and elegant in design, Hotel Saint Cecilia’s 20 striking accommodations are scattered throughout the estate – housed in both the Victorian era home and in modern additions – all with secluded entranceways. The design of each room is different, yet all of the suites, poolside bungalows, studios, and garden suites feature a cohesive combination of antiques, modern furniture, original artwork, and outdoor lounge spaces. All rooms and suites offer King Hästens mattresses, Rega turntables, and Geneva sound systems. You are invited to borrow from the hotel’s lending library of vintage LPs as well as a collection of rock biographies and poetry anthologies from Hotel Saint Cecilia’s favorite artists.

About The Drop In

Founded in 2023 by Gillian Zettler and Chandler Frisbie, The Drop In is a vessel for diverse experiences that drive human connection. Through our values of transparency, curiosity, and compassion, we are architects of programming and ideas for human pollinators: those who are curious and want to contribute. With purposeful design and mindful execution, we aim to leave a lasting impact.

About Hotel Saint Cecilia

The lush grounds of Hotel Saint Cecilia are a secluded hideaway in the center of it all.

Built in 1888, the original Victorian home is anchored around the majestic oak tree located at the heart of the property. Fully restored in 2009, Hotel Saint Cecilia is a private sanctuary tucked away off South Congress.

Inspired by the rock and roll revolution of the '60s and ‘70s, the accommodations embody an equal love for the elegance of old-world luxury and the irreverence of its muses – The Stones, Bill Burroughs, Anne Sexton, Hunter S. Thompson among them.

To Book

Bookings are first come, first served and sold by the individual. Occupancy per room is noted in the room descriptions and pricing is listed as per person. Should you be traveling with a friend or loved one and would like to room together, you can notate this request during registration. Please note that every participant must register individually by selecting 1 as the package quantity option.

All rooms – whether single or double occupancy – offer one king bed. If you would like to have a private room, you may book by adding a single supplement matching your package room type. This offer is available on Garden Suite 6 and Poolside Bungalow 6.

Booking Best Practices

  • If you are managing and paying for your party's entire reservation: Determine the room you would like to book; when prompted, select (2) from the quantity dropdown; this will reserve the entire room under one participant. You will be prompted to pay both deposits at the time of booking and will see the full cost of the room for two people. Please note that if you see only (1) available in the dropdown for a double occupancy room, someone has already booked one of the two available spaces, and only one space remains in this specific room.
  • If you are traveling with someone else and want to ensure you book the same room but are managing and paying for reservations separately: Coordinate with your travel companion and determine the double occupancy room you would like to book; when prompted, select (1) from the quantity dropdown and complete the reservation on behalf of yourself. The other member of your party will do the same, selecting the other (1) remaining spot in the selected room. We recommend both members of your group book in tandem to ensure the second available spot in the room does not get reserved before both parties have a chance to reserve.
  • If you are traveling alone and want to ensure a solo or private space: Solo travelers can book any of the three single occupancy studios or upgrade Garden Suite 1 or Poolside Bungalow 4 to a private room by paying a one-time private upgrade fee. To upgrade your booking, select (1) from the quantity dropdown when prompted on either Garden Suite 1 or Poolside Bungalow 4. Additionally, select (1) from the “Select Options” section that corresponds with your selected room at the bottom of the booking portal.
