Passport & Visa

 All travelers must have a valid passport for international travel and many countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of return. When assisting with an international travel booking, we will assume that all travelers on the booking have a valid passport. If this is not the case, you must let us know. It is important to ensure you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments, delay or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

We exercise care in the selection of reputable travel service providers but we are not ourselves a provider of travel services and have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties.

Cancellation

 

Should you cancel no more than 30 days after making your deposit you get a 100% refund minus a $150 admin fee.


Should you cancel between 30 days of booking to 180 days before the trip you will get a 50% refund minus the $150 admin fee.


Once we are within 180 days of the trip starting there are no refunds.

Note-should you find someone to fill your spot I can transfer your balance to them minus the $150 fee if it's 60 days before departure. Should you become sick or have other issues it’s highly likely the required travel insurance would kick in and reimburse you so be sure and check with your provider.


It is the responsibility of the trip attendee to reach out in the event of a cancellation and make their payments on time. We reserve the right to hold payments according to the cancellation policy above to pay our vendors to make this trip happen.

Regular hiking tour at Cahuita National Park

During this walk in Cahuita National Park, the guide will take you through different points between Punta Cahuita and the town observing species of flora and fauna. You can see some snakes like boas, velvets, among others. In addition, you can admire sloths, white face and howler monkeys, anteaters, raccoons, blue morpho butterflies, birds, as well as medicinal plants, orchids, trees, ferns,

bromeliads and much more.

Regular snorkeling

 

This tour is done in a 14-person boat, with a captain and guide, around the Cahuita National Park. There, you will go snorkeling for about two hours in the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica where, with some luck, you could see: 35 different species of coral, 123 species of tropical fish, 3 species of sharks, 6 species of eels, 3 species of sea urchins, 140 of shellfish, 44 crustaceans, 128 types

of algae, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, ocean sponges, lobster, shrimp, among others.

What´s included? Transfers, snorkeling equipment (mask, fins & snorkel tube), and local guide.


What to bring? Bathing suit, water shoes, camera, binoculars, insect repellent, and sunscreen (water resistant SPF 15 or higher,

preferably biodegradable “reef safe” sunscreen to not contaminate the sea).

may vary due to the tides, the physical condition of the group, and other environmental circumstances.

Regular Sloth Sanctuary tour

Today, you will enjoy the shared Sloth Sanctuary tour. Aviarios Del Caribe is a Model Comprehensive Center that works in the investigation, protection, and rehabilitation of sloths, promoting at the same time processes of education and awareness about these animals. Once you arrive at the sanctuary, you will be welcomed, and an expert will give a talk about the natural history, ecology, and evolution of these small and enigmatic creatures. Then, the nursey is visited where the baby sloths are, emphasizing the reproduction and rearing of baby sloths. In the end, you will visit the sloth-themed souvenir shop, and then return to the hotel. 


Schedule: 11:00 hours (normally). Duration: Approx. 3-4 hours.

What to bring? Comfortable clothes and shoes, a camera, sunscreen, and insect repellent (preferably biodegradable).
