TriFactory, the race organizer behind the Pyramids Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, recently made the announcement that they would be moving the 5K race to Friday, while keeping the half marathon and 10K or Saturday. Coddiwomple Travel has the exclusive opportunity for runner to participate in the new Pharoah Challenge. Runner who complete the 5K on Friday and either the 10K or half marathon on Saturday will receive a commemorative shirt and medal for the Pharoah Challenge.

A four night cruise along the Nile (Luxor to Aswan) and one night back in Cairo), with sightseeing, meals, and domestic airfare is the perfect complement to your visit in Cairo.
Upon arrival into Cairo, you will clear Passport Control, Customs and head to Baggage Claim. While you can secure your travel visa prior to departure, you can secure your Tourist Visa upon arrival. For your added comfort, upon arrival at the airport, an airport representative will greet you in the tunnel and escort you through the customs and immigration process. The representative will facilitate the visa process for you. Continue to the baggage claim hall and passenger pick up. It is a short ride to the Four Seasons at the First Residences. Once checked in, the balance of the afternoon is yours to relax. This evening, we will meet for our trip briefing and welcome reception.
After breakfast today we will find our way to the most iconic image of Egyptology, the Pyramids of Giza. We will have the opportunity to visit Khufu Pyramid and visit the Sarcophagus Room. We will next enjoy the experience of a 20 minute camel ride. We will enjoy a delicious lunch before we make our final stops at the Sphinx and finally at Saqqara (Step Pyramid). Dinner is on your own this evening. (B,L)
New for 2026! The 5K race will be held at 6:00am.
Fo those registering for the 5K, we will have an early wakeup call and departure for the 5K start. Box breakfast will be made available. In the afternoon, we will make our way to the GEM (Grand Egyptian Museum). Here you will find the finest collection of Egyptian artifacts. We will have lunch here today. This evening, we will enjoy a pre-race dinner back at the hotel (B, L, D)
We will begin our day with a box breakfast. Departure for the race is early. You will have ample time to utilize their assigned kit bag drop as well as use the bathroom facilities before the start of the race. With a three (3) hour time limit for both events (21K and 10K) we will wait to support all finishers before we transfer back to the hotel after the race. Dinner is on your own tonight. (B).
Today we will make a morning visit to the NMEC (National Museum of Egyptian Civilization). It is here that you will the well-preserved mummies, some dating back more than 3500 years. We will follow this up with a visit the Citadel of Saladin and Mohamed Ali Mosque. We will enjoy a local lunch before we head back to the hotel. This evening, we will enjoy our Farewell Dinner. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home (B)
OR, for those joining the optional Nile River cruise, your flight onward to Luxor. We will embark on the Nile River aboard the M/V Sonesta Sun Goddess. Today includes visits to the Temple of Karnak, as well as an evening visit to the Temple of Luxor. (B,L,D).
This morning you have the choice of sleeping late and grabbing a leisurely breakfast, or you may opt to rise early and experience the sun rise from 3000'. This morning, we offer an optional hot air balloon ride that will bring you 3000' above the Nile River and Valley of the Kings (See Pricing for details). If you opt for the hot air balloon ride, you will still have time to grab breakfast back aboard the ship before we continue our touring for the day. Today, we will visit the Valley of the Kings, where we will visit the tombs of Seti I, King Tut's Tomb, and more. We will then visit Hatsheput Temple and Colossi of Memnom before heading back to the ship. This evening, we will enjoy dinner aboard the ship. (B,L,D)
Today, we will make visits to Edfu Temple as well as Kom Ombo Temple. Back on the ship, for lunch. The remainder of the day at your leisure as we cruise further up river. (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will take a short ride to the lake. We will take a short boat ride to enjoy the sites of Philae Temple. We will head back to the ship for lunch. If the afternoon we will take a smaller boat up the Nile to a local Nubian village. Tiem is allotted to explore the village and do some shopping. We will have dinner back on the ship this evening. Tonight, join in the fun by dressing in some Egyptian attire. George will assist you with your purchase of attire. (B,L,D)
After breakfast this morning, we will disembark from the cruise and make our way back to the airport for our flight back to Cairo. We will check in at the Waldorf Astoria Cairo for our final evening. You will find a number of different restaurants within the property for lunch and dinner. (B)
There may be some that book for the early morning flights out of Cairo on March 20. A box breakfast and airport transfers will be arranged for you. For those departing later in the day, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before being picked up and transferred back to the airport. (B)
