The day begins with a 6:00 am pickup from your Zanzibar lodge, followed by a scenic drive to Zanzibar Airport for a flight to Mafia Island. Upon arrival at Mafia Island Airport, our dedicated team will be on hand to transfer you to Afro Beach, the base for our whale shark excursions. As the first group to depart, we optimize our chances of encountering these gentle giants, so punctuality is key. Before setting out on our traditional boat, you will receive a briefing and enjoy some refreshments at Afro Beach.
