Welcome to Puglia:  Embark on an unforgettable 9-day journey through Puglia, where tradition, taste, language, and timeless charm come to life!

We have designed this trip exclusively for those who wish to immerse themselves in the most authentic traditions of this remarkable land.  During our 9 Days together, we will guide you through a unique experience, discovering the true essence of Puglia. From the timeless charm of historic villages to stunning vistas, fine wines, tastings, and hands-on cooking classes featuring authentic local recipes, each day will be thoughtfully curated to immerse you fully in the sensory delights of Puglia.  

You'll shop like a true Italian, uncover the secrets of Apulian cuisine, visit traditional Masseria, engage in creative workshops, and stroll through the most enchanting historic centers.  Along the way, you'll sing Italian songs and even learn to dance the pizzica, Puglia's traditional folk dance.

Our tour is more than a journey - it's a chance to connect deeply with the culture, language, and people of the region.  Through practical, interactive lessons, you'll immerse yourself in everyday situations, expanding your vocabulary and uncovering unique local expressions as you practice your Italian.

Adapter for phone or hair irons, etc.  (If you are bringing a computer, you will need a converter)

Make sure to pack a converter/adapter, so that you may charge your phones, use of a hair wand for curling or straightening, etc.  The hotels should supply hair dryers.

Due to many parts of Italy, you will find cobblestone streets, we recommend you bring along, sneakers as well as comfortable walking shoes.

Travel Waivers

A Travel Waivers will be emailed to you for review and signature.  Please return Only Signed Pages via Email, FB Messenger or Text.  Remember, return only the signed forms as a receipt of acknowledgement.

Passports

Please forward a copy of your Passport to our email  gorotraveltours@gmail.com  These documents are necessary for us to have on hand for the hotel stays, as well as excursions booked, etc. while traveling in Europe.  Thank You.

Cancellations

If you or any member of your party, cancel your arrangements at any time, written notification from the person who made the booking must be received by email at gorotraveltours@gmail.com

If you must cancel, the initial full deposit is non-refundable. We will grant your transfer of our land trip to another participant knowing they will satisfy the balance due by final payment date. This transfer will NOT INCLUDE any Inter-Island Airfare or Any Excursions which are Non-Transferable on our end. 

If you cancel prior to 60 days of the trip, a 25% refund of all payments received, will be returned. Any cancellations made within 60 days or less will be forfeited, due to our obligation and non-refundable transactions, with our accommodation, transport and excursions. 

Exceptions to our policy cannot be made. Thank you in advance for your understanding.  

Again, we highly suggest Travel Insurance for your protection and refunds.

Day 1:  Welcome & Introductions

.  Welcome Kit:  Upon your arrival, each participant will be given a Welcome Kit with information material on Puglia.

.  Introductions & Icebreakers:  Engaging activities and interactive games will be arranged to help participants get to know one another.

.  Welcome Dinner:  The evening will conclude with dinner at a local,  popular pizzeria, where the various types of pizza will be introduced. 

Day 2:  Exploring Mola di Bari

.  Breakfast Together:  We will begin our day at the local Cafe, enjoying a typical European breakfast as we explore and learn about different types of coffee. 

.  Tour of Mola di Bari & Visit to the Secret Garden:  Together we will tour the Old World Town of Mola and discover its Secret Garden. 

.  Pugliese Food & How to Order:  An introduction to a Pugliese restaurant menus, how to navigate ordering effectively and what is customary when it comes to gratuities.

.  Cooking Class:  At Chef Tonia's home, you'll enjoy a hands - on Apulian cooking class, kicking off with a fun quiz about cooking and pastas.

Day 3:  Bari Food Tour

.  Tour Bari Vecchia:  Today we will begin with a guided tour through the Old Town of Bari, where you will see the famous Orecchiette ladies in the small narrow streets, making fresh pasta.  A stroll through the neighborhood, sampling local specialty foods & freshly baked Barese focaccia. 

.  Meet with a local Artisan:  Workshop with a Spaccabari artisan, to create your very own personalized souvenir.

.  Free Time:  Enjoy some down time to explore the area of Bari.  Together, we will decide the time and meeting place for our drive back to Mola di Bari.

Day 4:  Learn about Shopping in Italy & visit to Polignano a Mare

.  Our first activity of the day will be a guide through practical ways to shop for various items.  This will be a fun, interactive day!  What better way to learn the Italian language!

.  A Visit to Polignano a Mare:  This afternoon, we will spend time visiting the town of Polignano a Mare, where you will find breathtaking panoramic views.  An amazing place to capture memorable photos.

.  Song of the Day:  "Volare"

Day 5:  Full Day in Lecce

.  Guided Tour:  Enjoy a walking tour through the baroque splendor  of Lecce, featuring captivating historical stories and anecdotes about its magnificent churches and lively squares.

.  Free Time:  Take some time to discover local Papier-Mache workshops and Ceramic crafts. 

 
Day 6:  Masseria Fragnito, visit Ostuni & Alberobello

.  A tasting experience: A visit to the Fragnito farmhouse, where you'll savor cheeses and traditional Apulian products while exploring the charm of this authentic setting.

. Town Visits:  In the afternoon, we will visit Ostuni, the renowned "White City," and Alberobello, celebrated for its iconic Trulli and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.   

Day 7: Matera

 .  Song of the Day:  Albano's, "Felicita" 

Day 8:  Olive Oil Masterclass, Carovigno Estate & Farewell Celebration 

.  Making of Olive Oil: Immerse yourself in Carovigno's Olive Oil production process.  At the Estate, you will delight and explore select oils, with food pairings.  The day includes a stroll among the estate's ancient, thousand-year old olive trees.

.  Vsiting Carovigno:  In the afternoon, we will visit the town of Carovigno, discovring this charming village, renowned for its historic castle and unique character. culminating in a final celebratory day.

.  Farewell Dinner & Dance:  Celebrate the final evening at Chef Tonia's with a festive  dinner, featuring Italian songs, a lesson on expressive Italian gestures, and a lively pizzica dance session.

Day 9:  Farewell Breakfast:  Share one last meal together, bid goodbye to the group, and cherish the memories of this unforgettable trip to Puglia.
