This tour is a great way to explore Ireland at a slower pace, meeting garden creators one one-on-one and having some of the best head gardens in the world show you the real Ireland.

From her base in Spokane, Washington, Pat shares her gardening adventures in a weekly column for the Spokesman-Review’s Voices section and has written for numerous local and national publications. With Susan Mulvihill, she authored the Northwest Gardeners Handbook She retired from WSU Spokane County Extension after 15 years of teaching and creating many community gardening, agriculture, and natural history projects that drew people into gardening. As the agriculture program developer for the People to People Citizen Ambassador Program, she developed agricultural professional exchanges in over 60 countries. She has traveled on all seven continents and is looking forward to introducing travelers on this journey to the beauty and uniqueness of Irish gardens.
For the past 25 years, Ginger has been sharing her passion for experiential travel, offering her best in off-the-beaten-track places in Ireland, sharing the best-kept secrets, and introducing you to the real people of Ireland. Often accused of a tour really being an expedition in local food, she is a champion of the Irish food world and of the sustainable practices that Ireland is quickly becoming a leader of on an international scale in hospitality, gardening, and in fresh, local, organic produce. We use sustainable hotels and restaurants and rely heavily on our suppliers to uphold our high standards for travel.
Past Garden Writer’s Region 6 Manager, Rotary Club PR and PTA President, she now invests her time fully into touring and offering those one-of-a-kind meetings with the locals that others miss. She’s a Master Gardener with extensive knowledge of Irish gardens and gardening practices. Also, a supporter of the Irish historic houses and a member of The Irish Georgian Society, she helps in the preservation of Ireland’s built heritage. She is also a professional genealogist and a member of IGRS, ASTA, and SKAL.
