Mombacho Volcano is one of the most visited sites in the South Pacific of Nicaragua. Its lush vegetation and pleasant climate make this site an excellent home for many species of plants and animals, some of which are endemic meaning that can only be found in these places.
4×4 vehicles are required to enter the Nature Reserve.
There are three paths to explore in Mombacho Volcano, and one of them is El Puma Trail. It has a distance of 4 Km (2.5 miles), The total duration of this tour is 5.5 hours with transportation time, it might take longer if unexpected reasons show up such as accidents on the road, weather or some other that we did not mention but that affects the itinerary or you can do it in less time if you are in very good physical conditions.
