Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world, with an area of approximately 10,582 square kilometres (4,086 mi2).
The Salar was formed as a result of transformations of seven Late Pleistocene Lakes whose progressive desiccation led to the accumulation of extensive evaporitic salt deposits.
The Salar serves as the major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano and is a prime breeding ground for several species of flamingos.
The Salar has been used as a filming location for movies such as The Fall (2006), Salt and Fire (2016), The Unseen (2017), Star Wars, The last Jedi (2017),and several others.

We will begin our tour by visiting the Train Cemetery and the Colchani Artisan Market, where you can purchase handicrafts. Afterward, we will enter the Great Salt Flats (Salt Flats) where we will visit the salt extraction site, the Salt Eyes (Salt Springs), the first Salt Hotel, and Inkahuasi Island, a volcanic island where you can admire more than 2,000 gigantic, ancient cacti. From the island's summit, you will have a magnificent 360° view of the Salt Flats. After returning to the vehicle, we will leave the island to take perspective photos, a unique feature of the Uyuni Salt Flats. You will enjoy a delightful and unforgettable lunch in the heart of the Great Salt Flats. After lunch, we'll head to the northern part of the salt flats to enjoy its vast white expanse. We'll return to Uyuni around 17:00 PM.
