Immerse yourself in a completely new world of wildlife photography – in the truest sense of the word. I am pleased to be able to offer you an extraordinary workshop photographing wildlife from a floating hide.
Floating Hides allow us to glide silently through the water – only with waders and cameras – entering the world of the animals we normally only see from the shoreline. At eye level with flamingos, pelicans and herons, you will have the opportunity to create images impossible from the shore.

In October, there is a very special light above Lake Kerkini in the north of Greece. Early fog, soft autumn colours and smooth water offer perfect conditions for unique shots.
The lake is a true paradise for bird photographers:
Flamingos in large flocks
many of the resident Dalmatian Pelicans
Waders, ducks, herons
kingfishers & birds of prey potentially.. White-tailed eagle, greater spotted eagle, marsh harriers and the like)
With luck: Golden Jackals foraging along the shoreline

Arrivals - meet at Thessaloniki Airport & transfer to hotel at Kerkini about 90 mins away
0600 - 0900 : Pre-dawn rise for 3 hour shoot from the the floating hides out on the lake;
1000 - 1200 : Return to the hotel for a hearty Breakfast
1600 to sunset : 3 hour shoot from the the floating hides out on the lake;
Breakfast & depart for the Airport for flights home
