Welcome to SACRED, a potent women’s retreat in the magical hills of Stowe, Vermont.
We are so excited to welcome you to this powerful 3-night/ 4-day gathering of kindred souls as we enter the dark half of the year and step into the mystery and beauty of late autumn.
If you are going through a loss, change, life transition, or standing at a threshold, this retreat is for you!
Picture yourself tucked away in a cozy lodge, nestled in the stunning Sterling Mountains, for a long weekend of connection, reflection, myth, magic, and embodied sacred spirituality. All held by the land, two experienced sacred-space tenders, and a vibrant, loving community.
Awaken each day to freshly brewed organic coffee or tea, serene morning yoga, and meditations overlooking the skyline. Enjoy local, organic food, woodland walks, and inspiring activities to bring our content alive. Wind your day down with potent temple/ritual experiences, restorative yoga, and twilight hours by the fire. Tuck into a hand-hewn bed with deluxe flannel sheets in guest rooms designed and inspired by the land around us.
You will also have the opportunity to experience a guided natural, outdoor hydrotherapy circuit, including a wood-fired sauna, cold plunge, and luscious wood-fired cedar hot tub. This healing immersion is just steps from the lodge, overlooking the mountains.
In the Celtic tradition, there are said to be two hinges on the great Wheel of The Year: Samhain marks the descent into the ‘dark half’ of the year and Beltaine marks the ‘light half’. As we enter the portal into darkness and rest, we are invited to gather round the hearth for stories, myths and tales that inspire and inform our wild and precious modern lives.
On this potent retreat, we will delve into the cross-cultural mythology of the season, including tales of the Goddess: Baba Yaga, the Morrigan, the Cailleach Bheara, and potent Egyptian Goddesses. We will discover how these archetypes empower and uplift us and carry us across the threshold spaces and crossroads in our own lives.
You will be invited to choose a goddess to continue working with into the winter months to inspire, support, and alchemize your intentions for the new year to come.
The backdrop for all of these practices and teaching will be a quilt of deep rest, quiet presence, warmth of heart (and hearth), and slow savoring of the moment. The invitation of this sacred retreat is to listen to your own wise inner goddess or spirit and tend to all the parts of yourself.
In alignment with our retreat title, SACRED, we will approach our journey into cultural myths with appreciation (not appropriation) and with the utmost honor, reverence, and respect for the origins of all of the teachings. In this way we help decolonize yoga/ wellness/ healing spaces. We also honor the sacred, unceded, Abenaki lands on which we offer this retreat experience.
Come as you are and go at your own unique pace. Know that everything on this retreat is carefully curated so that you can pick and choose what resonates with you in the moment.
You will leave this retreat with:
* A powerful spiritual ’toolkit’ to navigate life changes, thresholds and transitions
