There’s nothing quite like Tanzania.
A land where elephants wander beneath ancient baobabs, lions stretch in the tall golden grass, and the air hums with a wild, timeless rhythm. Picture yourself standing at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater as the morning mist lifts to reveal herds of elephants and zebras crossing the world’s largest intact caldera. Or watching the sun melt into the Serengeti while the sky turns to a canopy of stars. Really, pinch yourself. It's just that magical.
From Arusha’s bustling streets to the wide-open plains of the Serengeti, this journey sweeps you through some of Africa’s most unforgettable landscapes. You’ll visit local craft cooperatives and Maasai family villages, hike to hidden waterfalls, and explore the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater; a place so full of life it feels otherworldly.
Then it’s off to the Serengeti, where the Great Migration thunders across the horizon and every game drive brings something new: lions lounging under acacia trees, giraffes silhouetted against fiery sunsets, and elephants crossing the dusty roads just feet from your vehicle.
And just when you think it can’t get better, we trade the roar of the savannah for the hush of the ocean. Zanzibar welcomes you with turquoise water, white sand, and the scent of cloves on the breeze. You’ll wander spice farms, explore Stone Town’s labyrinth of alleys, take a cooking class with a local chef, and unwind on the island’s sun-soaked northern beaches... The perfect exhale after days of wild adventure.
Every moment, from your first game drive to your final sunset, has been thoughtfully designed with the care and connection TNN is known for.
It’s not just a safari. It’s a story... And you’re living it.

We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch right in the park before continuing on to Karatu. On the way, we’ll stop at a Maasai boma, a traditional family village, for an incredible peek into their way of life. This is definitely one of those moments that sticks with you.

You’ll see everyday Tanzania up close, and meet some pretty incredible people along the way. Picnic lunch during the day, then back to the lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Ohhh get ready... this day is something special!
Today we’re heading into the Ngorongoro Crater, and honestly, it’s one of those “is this real life?” moments. Picture it: driving down into this huge ancient volcanic caldera that’s bursting with wildlife. Lions, rhinos, flamingos, zebras… it’s like every National Geographic scene you’ve ever watched, but you’re in it. We’ll spend the morning exploring and stop for a picnic lunch surrounded by some of the most incredible views you’ll ever see.
Then it’s on to the Serengeti! The drive there is its own little adventure: endless plains, big skies, maybe a few giraffes strolling by to welcome us. By the time we pull into our tented camp, the stars will be out and dinner will be waiting. You’re going to sleep tonight knowing you just lived one of those bucket-list days.
Lodging: Land of Nature Tented Camp, Serengeti NP

Today is the day you’ve been dreaming about: a full day out in the legendary Serengeti!
We’ll head out after breakfast with our expert guides to see what the day brings. Every game drive here is different, and that’s the magic of it. Lions lounging in the tall grass, elephants crossing right in front of our vehicle, maybe a cheetah scanning the horizon for her next meal... you just never know.
If we’re lucky, we might even catch a glimpse of the Great Migration: thousands of wildebeest and zebra moving across the plains in one of nature’s most jaw-dropping shows. We’ll stop for a picnic lunch out in the wild, with the sounds of Africa all around us, then head back to camp in the late afternoon.
There, dinner will be waiting, and the stars? Absolutely unreal out here. Grab a drink, sit by the fire, and just soak it all in.
Lodging: Land of Nature Tented Camp, Serengeti NP
Meals: B, L, D
Time to trade the roar of lions for the crash of ocean waves. This morning we’ll catch a small plane right from the Serengeti. And trust us, this flight is incredible. You’ll look down over endless golden plains and winding rivers, spotting herds from above. Then we’ll connect in Arusha and head straight to Zanzibar, Tanzania’s “Spice Island.”
When we arrive, we’ll drive up to Nungwi on the island’s northern tip, a postcard-perfect beach town with soft white sand and turquoise water that’ll stop you in your tracks. The rest of the day is all yours. Take a dip in the ocean, grab a cold drink, watch the sun sink into the Indian Ocean… you’ve officially made it to paradise!
Lodging: Amaan Beach Bungalows, Nungwi, Zanzibar
Meals: B
Ahhh, island life. Today’s all about doing what makes you happiest. Want to go snorkeling or scuba diving in the clearest blue water you’ve ever seen? Go for it. Prefer a lazy beach day with your feet in the sand and a good book in hand? That’s perfectly acceptable too.
You can also hop on a sunset cruise, wander through local fishing villages, or explore tide pools along the coast. Whatever you choose, the pace here is easy — and that’s exactly the point. After so many days of safari excitement, Zanzibar gives us a chance to slow down, recharge, and just be.
Lodging: Amaan Beach Bungalows, Nungwi, Zanzibar

After breakfast, we’ll make our way south toward Stone Town. But first, we’ll stop for one of our favorite parts of the trip: a spice farm visit! You’ll walk through lush plantations filled with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla, tasting and smelling as you go. It’s no wonder Zanzibar was once the center of the spice trade — it smells amazing everywhere you turn.
Once we reach Stone Town, we’ll dive right into the culture with a hands-on Zanzibari cooking class where we’ll make our own lunch. Then we’ll explore this fascinating historic city with our local guide; weaving through narrow alleys, checking out old markets, and maybe popping by Freddie Mercury’s childhood home (yep, he was born here!).
Tonight we’ll gather for our farewell dinner by the sea and raise a glass to an unforgettable adventure together.
Lodging: Tembo House Hotel, Stone Town, Zanzibar
Meals: B, L, D
Our final morning, and what a ride it’s been! Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a little free time before your flight. Wander Stone Town’s shops, grab a coffee by the water, or just take one last deep breath of that warm ocean air.
It’s never easy to say goodbye, but you’ll be heading home with a heart full of memories, new friends, and stories you’ll be telling for years!
