The Gold Coast - Ghana Tour begins in Accra, Ghana, on March 14 and concludes in Accra on March 23, 2026. Kola Nut Travel can assist you with your flights. If you prefer to handle your own travel arrangements, please note the arrival and departure dates.
No refunds will be provided to any participant for tour activities due to late arrival in Accra, Ghana. Daily activities will start at the predesignated times and will provide a ten minute grace period. If any participant arrives later than the start of an activity, it will be their responsibility to meet the group at the next activity at their own expense. It is essential to be on time so that all participants can fully experience the day's activities.
The initial deposit of $500 is nonrefundable.

Please read the information below, as your travel program will adhere to these terms and conditions.
Your Travel Program Costs Include the Following:
· Hotel accommodations and surcharges, per your selection of the category requested. If your choice is no longer available, you will be notified immediately to make a different choice. If the hotel listed in the program is no longer available, a similar hotel will be provided on the tour.
· Ground Transportation using local ground transportation, airport transfers upon arrival and exit, unless your flights are within the arrival time required to start the tour on time, all entrance fees per itinerary, cultural shows and admission charges as specified, daily meals as specified, and English-speaking guides throughout the tour. If the activities you request have not been included in the itinerary, or they are listed as Optional, you will be responsible for those additional costs.
· Current currency exchange rates can sometimes affect the cost of the program. Kola Nut Travel will advise you if there has been a cost increase. This is a rate, but it has happened before. Factors that can affect tour pricing include fuel, fees, taxes, and the currency exchange rate. If this increases by more than 15% of the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your trip with a full refund of all monies paid. The cost will not change within 30 days of departure.
Payment
· The deposit of $500 per person is required upon making a reservation. Deposit and completed reservation forms should arrive at least 70 days in advance. The deposit is (the amount specified for each tour in US Dollars or Euros) per person and can only be paid by Zelle, check, or ACH. Once you have received your receipt and invoice for your deposit your reservation is considered confirmed.
· If booking two calendar months or less from the scheduled start, payment must be made in full. Kola Nut Travel will not be held responsible for any expenses that may have been incurred as a result of the client’s booking.
· Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must do so by email. You will then be subject to the following cancellation charges.
· Cancellations received more than 56 days before departure will be assessed a penalty equal to the deposit per person.
· Cancellations received 56-31 days prior to departure will be assessed a penalty equal to 50% of the total cost per person.
· Cancellations received within 30 days of departure are subject to 100 % cancellation penalties.
· If you do not pay the balance of the cost two calendar months before departure Kola Nut Travel reserves the right to cancel your booking. When a refund is payable there will be an administrative fee of $150 charged per person. This is based on any refunds that are due to you at the time of cancellation.
Insurance & Health
· Travel Protection is a must on any travel program to protect your funds. All participants are expected to provide confirmation of travel insurance, either through Kola Nut Travel or a company of your choice. This coverage must include a comprehensive policy that includes international medical coverage.
· You must be fit and well to take part in these tours. They involve significant walking and stair climbing. It is the responsibility of each tour member to determine whether they are medically fit and able to undertake these tours. You may elect to skip some parts of a tour; however, you will not be refunded for any part you choose not to participate in during your tour program.
· Kola Nut Travel does strive to accommodate those with limited mobility while on tour. It is important that all participants have an incredible journey.
· Changes Or Cancellations
Kola Nut Travel will make every effort to operate the specially arranged tours in accordance with the itinerary described. We do reserve the right to alter any arrangement of the tour should it become necessary or advisable, without penalty. If fewer than six passengers are booked on a tour with less than 6 weeks to departure, Kola Nut Travel and Tour reserves the right to cancel any booking and issue a full refund, or amend the itinerary cost.
· Kola Nut Travel does not accept responsibility for cancellation or changes in the tour for reasons beyond its control, such as (but not limited to) terrorist activities, civil unrest, closure of airports, technical problems with transport, adverse weather conditions, strikes, and all similar events, whether these events are threatened or actual. Care and diligence have been exercised in the making of these tour arrangements, but Kola Nut Travel and Tours cannot be held responsible for a failure of sub-contracted ancillary services.
Flights – Your Freedom of Choice
Kola Nut Travel starts and ends the tour at a predetermined/designated airport. You have multiple options in arranging your flights.
• You can arrange your air travel by utilizing your earned flight mileage.
· Make your own flight arrangements. You will need to advise the agency of your flight and departure information, and email your itinerary to ensure arrival and departure arrangements on the ground in your host country.
· Kola Nut Travel is a full-service travel company with ARC/IATAN Appointments. We can arrange and issue your flight tickets at excellent prices. Keep in mind that if you want the absolute lowest cost, you will not be able to have pre-assigned seating, the ticket will be nonrefundable, and there will be a number of other flight restrictions.
· Liability
Kola Nut Travel is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or irregularity arising from the negligence of any third party or its customers. Because the airline travel component of your trip is not paid to us, repatriation will not be provided.
· Photographic/Filming Release
Kola Nut Travel reserves the right to use any photographs or videos taken during any of our tours. It may use any such records for promotional and/or commercial purposes without payment. If you would prefer not to be included in the video or photos, please advise Kola Nut Travel immediately.
Complaints
Any complaints must be reported immediately, within 24 hours, to the Tour Leader, who will do everything possible to resolve the matter.

On this day, we explore the capital city of Ghana, a visit to WEB DuBois Centre. At the centre, we will have the opportunity to meet with the African American Association of Ghana (AAAG) to interact with African Americans who are leaving in Ghana. After visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, where we will experience Ghana’s rich history and the events leading to the independence of Ghana, a celebration of the prominent Ghanaian President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

We will depart for Kumasi. Upon arrival in Kumasi, we will visit the Manhyia Palace Museum, which offers a valuable insight into Ashanti culture and traditions, as well as the history of the Ashanti Kingdom, which is over 300 years old. The museum provides a fascinating glimpse into the mighty ancient Ashanti Empire and its past kings. After the museum visit, we will enjoy lunch. Following lunch, we will proceed to the hotel to check in and settle in for the remainder of the day.

**Breakfast** In the morning, depart to pay a courtesy call on a local Chief and participate in a traditional Ghanaian naming ceremony. Participants will receive Ghanaian names that reflect certain attributes. It would be interesting to compare these attributes with who you are today. Next, visit a few Ashanti craft villages, including Damang, which is well-known for its traditional Kente cloth weaving. You will have the opportunity to observe skilled weavers as they produce garments, some of which are reserved for the Ashanti Kings. Ntonso is recognized for its indigenous artisans who specialize in Adinkra textile printing, using traditional symbols that convey the spiritual, moral, political, and socio-cultural philosophies of the Akan people. In the Ntonso Adinkra village, you will also have the chance to try your hand at creating your design. **Lunch** Return to your hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Depart in the morning for Cape Coast. Stop en route to visit Assin Manso, the burial site of the remains of two ancestors exhumed from New York’s Wall Street and Kingston, Jamaica, and reinterred on Emancipation Day in 1998. Visit the
“Slave River,” where enslaved Africans were allowed to have their bath in preparation for auction at the nearby slave market. A special ceremony will be performed at the river in remembrance of our ancestors.

After lunch, proceed to visit the Cape Coast Dungeons, which were originally started by the Swedes in 1652. It served as the headquarters and seat of the British colonial government until 1877. Go on a comprehensive tour of the Castle, the Slave Dungeons, and the West African Heritage Museum. The guide will conduct you to the slave quarters and the Negotiation Hall, where our ancestors were bargained for and sold.

After breakfast, visit the Elmina Dungeons, the first and oldest European structure built on African soil. The Portuguese constructed the dungeons in 1482 and later used them as an auction market. These dungeons imprisoned enslaved individuals who attempted to escape. Explore the unique architecture and enter the room that still features the original narrow "Door of No Return." **Lunch**: Return to the hotel to relax for the remainder of the day. Take a moment to unwind and reflect on your journey so far. Take advantage of the hotel's beachfront and various activities.
