Upon arrival at Baltra Airport, you’ll be greeted by the shark scientist and dive master who will assist with your transfer to the yacht. After settling into your cabin and enjoying a buffet lunch, there will be a briefing on safety and ship life. In the afternoon, we’ll head out for a check dive in the calm waters of Baltra Northeast, where you’ll test equipment and weights while encountering playful sea lions and various fish species.
Our first dive of the expedition takes place at Carrion Point near Santa Cruz Island. Here, you’ll likely encounter sea lions, turtles, rays, and colorful reef fish, with occasional sightings of hammerhead and white-tip sharks. After lunch, we begin our journey toward Wolf Island, one of the most famous dive destinations in the world, preparing for the exciting days ahead.
Today’s dives at Wolf Island promise thrilling encounters with an array of marine life. Schooling hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and silky sharks are common, and eagle rays glide through the water as dolphins swim nearby. The rocky walls of Wolf also provide sightings of green and hawksbill turtles. Above water, the island teems with birdlife, including red-footed boobies and frigatebirds.
Today, we dive at the legendary Darwin’s Arch, one of the world’s top dive sites. As you descend, you’ll be surrounded by schools of hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, and silky sharks, along with numerous marine turtles gliding gracefully by. The real highlight of the day, however, is the chance to encounter the massive adult female whale sharks that frequent these waters, particularly between June and October.
The morning begins with another dive at Darwin’s Arch, where you'll have more opportunities to witness the rich marine life, including hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, and graceful marine turtles. In the afternoon, we return to Wolf Island, exploring its spectacular underwater arches and rocky walls. Here, you’ll encounter schooling sharks, eagle rays, and the abundant marine megafauna that make Wolf one of the Galapagos' top dive sites. As the day ends, we set sail for Isabela Island, preparing for the next leg of our adventure.
Dive at Cape Douglas, where the marine iguanas of Fernandina Island are a highlight, gracefully feeding underwater. This site also features penguins and flightless cormorants, offering a truly unique dive experience. Later, at Punta Vicente Roca, the waters teem with Mola alexandrini, sea lions, and fur seals, with rich marine invertebrate life making it a macro photographer’s paradise.
Our final dive takes us to Cousin’s Rock, where you’ll encounter playful sea lions, resting turtles, and sometimes manta rays. The dramatic underwater topography is home to colorful corals, sponges, and blacktip sharks. In the afternoon, we head to the Santa Cruz Highlands to observe the iconic Galapagos tortoises in their natural habitat, surrounded by lush vegetation and vibrant birdlife.
Conclude your adventure with a transfer from Santa Cruz to Baltra Airport. Your guide will assist you to the check-in counters for your departure. Reflect on an unforgettable journey filled with incredible marine encounters and breathtaking dives, leaving you with memories to last a lifetime.
