Our Retreat Partner: Moroccan Heritage Tours
Founded by a UK-born Muslim who relocated his family to Morocco to enrich their hearts and deepen their connection to faith, Moroccan Heritage Tours retreats are designed to create safe, uplifting spaces for Muslims to bond, reflect, and be reminded of the mercy and magnificence of their Lord. More than just travel, each retreat is a journey of the heart — a return to faith, roots, and soul. Inspired by the Qur’anic invitation to “travel through the land and reflect” (Qur’an 30:42), the experiences are halal-friendly, spiritually nourishing, and rooted in the beauty of Islamic history, sacred spaces, and timeless tradition.
Arrival: 6th November 2025 – Marrakech Menara Airport, Morocco

Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, the Ourika Valley offers a peaceful sanctuary to begin our Moroccan journey.
Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and escorted to your tranquil retreat accommodation. Settle in, take a breath, and allow the natural beauty of the valley to welcome you. You’ll have time to rest and prepare for a beautiful evening ahead. At Maghrib, we’ll gather for prayer, followed by a delicious welcome dinner where you’ll meet your fellow retreat sisters, and set our intentions for the days ahead.
After Fajr and a nourishing breakfast, we’ll journey into the vibrant and historic city of Marrakech. Explore the rich cultural heritage with a guided tour through Jemaa El-Fnaa square, the majestic Koutoubia Masjid, and the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa. We’ll also visit sacred sites tied to the Seven Saints of Marrakech and wander through the winding streets of the old medina. By late afternoon, we return to Ourika to rest, reflect, and reconnect through prayer, dinner, and a peaceful night of reflection together.
We begin the day with a spiritual sunrise walk after Fajr, soaking in the crisp mountain air before breakfast. Then, we venture deeper into the Atlas Mountains, where we’ll visit a traditional Berber family home and gain insight into their way of life. We will visit a women’s Argan oil cooperative to witness their remarkable craftsmanship. A hearty lunch fuels us for an afternoon hike to the serene waterfalls of Setti Fatma, a hidden gem of the valley. We return in the evening for Maghrib, dinner, and sacred reflection under the stars.
This morning, we set out on a scenic drive toward the desert landscapes of eastern Morocco. Our first stop is the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou, a fortified village that has graced countless films and stories. From there, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” before arriving at our destination in the majestic Dades Valley by evening. After check-in and Maghrib prayer, enjoy a warm dinner in the heart of this striking canyon region.
Today, we journey to one of the most magical destinations on Earth — the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, we embark on a drive to Merzouga, with scenic stops along the way for rest and prayer. Upon arrival, you may choose to ride a camel through the dunes to your luxury desert camp or explore the desert by quad bike or sandboard. As the sun sets, we gather around a traditional Moroccan dinner and campfire, enveloped by stars and the stillness of the Sahara night.
After Fajr and breakfast, we depart the desert and head north to the historic city of Fes. En route, we’ll stop in Ifrane — Morocco’s “Little Switzerland” — and visit the cedar forests of Azrou, home to playful monkeys and breathtaking woodland views. By evening, we arrive in Fes and check in to a beautifully restored riad in the old city where we will
Today, we journey through the spiritual heart of Morocco with Shaykh El-Hajj Hisham Mahmoud as our guide. Wander the sacred streets of Fes, uncovering its rich Islamic heritage, hidden wisdom, and stories of saints and scholars. From the resting place of Moulay Idris to the timeless halls of Qarawiyyin, let your heart be stirred by the echoes of tradition.
Today we venture to the breathtaking town of Chefchaouen, nestled high in the Rif Mountains. Known for its striking blue-washed walls and peaceful charm, this city feels like stepping into a dream. Wander through narrow alleys bursting with colour and culture, pause for quiet reflection, or browse the vibrant souks filled with handcrafted treasures. With time to explore, breathe, and be, we return to Fes after Maghrib — hearts stilled by the beauty and calm that lingers in every corner of Chefchaouen.
Today is yours to spend as you wish. Wander through Fes’s bustling souks, pick up final keepsakes, or revisit places that moved you. Whether you choose to rest, journal, or quietly explore, the day offers space to slow down and reflect. In the evening, we come together for a Qur’an recitation circle and a closing dinner filled with heartfelt reflections and traditional Moroccan inshaad — a beautiful way to honour our shared journey and prepare for the path ahead.
Our final morning begins with Fajr prayer and breakfast. After heartfelt farewells, we assist with check-out and airport transfers to Fes Sais International Airport. Though we part ways in this journey, may the bonds of sisterhood, remembrance, and the sacred beauty of Morocco remain with us always, InshaAllah.
