About your trip

Location:  Torres de Paine, Magallanes y la Antár, Chile

Duration: 7 days / 6 nights / 5 riding days

Accommodation: Estancias, remote refugios, and tented camps

Dates: Set dates November-March

Riding Level: Intermediate-Advanced

Group Size: 2-6 riders

This immersive Gaucho experience traverses private estancias before entering Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way, ride across sweeping pampas where wild horses and guanacos roam, meander through forests and alongside glacier-fringed lagoons, basking in panoramic mountain vistas. Enjoy traditional asado de cordero while sipping pisco sours, learning about Patagonian culture, history, and traditions.

The journey begins in Puerto Natales, and riders will saddle up to ride across the Baguales mountain range, staying at Sierra Baguales before crossing over into Las Chinas Valley and Estancia Cerro Guido on the way to Laguna Azul. The wide-open terrain typifies the Patagonian landscape – expansive valleys and isolated steppe. Las Chinas then gives way to the eastern sector of Torres del Paine National Park, one of the gems of Patagonia.

Horses and riders will cover approximately 100 miles / 160 kilometers over the course of the week, crossing valleys, rivers, and mountain passes, culminating with a boat ride to Grey Glacier as the capstone of this ultimate and upscale Patagonian horseback expedition.
