Munga Plains' wellness retreats provide you with the unique opportunity to reconnect and recharge through yoga, horseback safaris, immersive cultural and wildlife experiences, and restful evenings under the stars.

Eva Sekira is a dedicated Hatha Alignment Yoga Teacher and an experienced Yoga Therapist (850h) in training. As the founder of "Yoga for Riders," a unique program tailored specifically for horseback riders, Eva blends her love for horses with her passion for yoga. A spirited and passionate horse lover, Eva enjoys working with clients from all over the world, helping them connect with their bodies and enhance their riding experience through mindful movement. When she's not teaching or working with clients, you can find her spending time in the stables, immersed in her love for horses.

Food

Designed by Tswana chef and author of Taste of Botswana Ednah Rosen, our chef prepares delicious and nutritious local dishes, from healthy, gluten-free salads to veggies samosas and revitalising juices made with our garden's seasonal fruits.

Arrival

Your adventure begins as you arrive at Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. After settling in, we’ll ease into the retreat with a gentle yoga and meditation session right by the falls, allowing you to connect with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Discover Chobe National Park

Begin your day with an opening circle before heading to Botswana. Enjoy an exciting boat cruise and game drive in Chobe National Park before settling down at Munga Plains for the evening.


In the evening, we'll come together for a fire ceremony to set our intentions for the journey ahead, followed by a deeply restorative yoga nidra session, enhanced with aromatherapy, to relax and unwind under the African sky.

Horseback Safari

We begin this day with a peaceful sunrise meditation, grounding ourselves in the early morning serenity. After a light breakfast, join us for a specialized yoga class focusing on stability and flexibility, designed to enhance your horseback riding skills.


In the afternoon, you'll put your newfound skills to the test during an exhilarating horseback safari through the African landscape. In the evening, we gather around the bonfire to share stories and experiences from the day.

Day 4

Heart Awakening

Our day begins with a sunrise morning meditation to center the mind and body. After a light breakfast, we move into a Hatha Alignment Yoga Session, perfect for refining your practice. A sharing circle follows, where you can connect with fellow guests and reflect on your journey so far.


After lunch, enjoy a relaxed afternoon with time for rest or personal exploration. The evening brings a delicious dinner and a magical night drive, offering a new perspective on the region’s wildlife.

Honor local traditions

Start the day with a yoga session and take a guided village tour with the Basubiya people, followed by dances and boma dinner around the fire pit.

Roam the wild

After a light breakfast, embark on a thrilling safari adventure in Chobe National Park, home to the highest concentration of elephants in the world. Encounter diverse wildlife, from majestic lions and stealthy leopards to powerful buffalos and graceful giraffes. In the afternoon, finish your week practice with a yoga session.
