We’ll be traveling at the perfect time of year to fully experience the diverse climates and unmatched beauty of this South American gem.

Arrival Lima

Day 1 – Arrival in Lima & Free Evening

  • Arrive in Lima, Peru’s capital and gastronomic hub.
  • Private transfer to your hotel.
  • Free time to rest or explore nearby areas.

Day 2 – Lima Foodie Tour 

  • Afternoon foodie tour (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) – Discover Lima’s vibrant culinary scene with tastings at top restaurants.

Journey to Paracas, Ballestas Islands, Huacachina

Day 3 – Morning: Travel to Paracas (4-hour bus ride) along the scenic Pacific coastline.

 

 Ballestas Islands, Huacachina Oasis & Pisco Tasting

  • Morning:
    • Boat tour to Ballestas Islands – Spot sea lions, penguins, and the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph.
  • Midday:
    • Pisco tasting at La Caravedo, Peru’s oldest vineyard, with a Paso Horse Show.
  • Afternoon:
    • Travel to Huacachina Oasis – Explore and take stunning photos.
    • Dune buggy & sandboarding adventure at sunset.
  • Evening: Dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 4 – Journey to Nazca

  • Morning: After breakfast, travel by coach to Nazca, passing through stunning desert landscapes.
  • Afternoon: Arrive in Nazca and check into the hotel. Take some time to freshen up.
  • Evening:
    • Enjoy dinner with the group, or take the evening to relax and explore the town on your own.
    • Optional: Visit the local planetarium to learn about the Nazca Lines and their connection to astronomy, followed by a night sky observation experience.

Arequipa & Andean Highlands

Day 5 – Arrival in Arequipa & Free Afternoon

  • Morning: Arrive in Arequipa, the "White City," with its stunning colonial architecture.
  • Afternoon: Explore the city’s highlights at your own pace:
    • Plaza de Armas and Santa Catalina Convent.
    • Museums showcasing Inca mummies and artifacts.

Day 6 – Scenic Drive to Puno & Lake Titicaca

  • Morning: Travel 5 hours through the Andes.
  • Stop at Patapampa Pass (4,910m/16,108ft) for breathtaking mountain views.
  • Afternoon: Arrive in Puno, the folklore capital of Peru, on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Lake Titicaca & Taquile Island Stay

Day 7 – Uros Floating Islands & Taquile Island Overnight

  • Morning: Boat tour to the Uros Islands, where locals live on floating reed platforms.
  • Afternoon: Visit Taquile Island, home to an indigenous Quechua-speaking community.
  • Short hike to a guesthouse for an overnight stay with stunning views of the lake.

Day 8 – Morning on Taquile & Return to Puno

  • Free morning to explore the island’s Inca ruins or artisan markets.
  • Afternoon: 3-hour boat ride back to Puno.
  • Free evening for shopping and relaxing.

Day 9 - 10

Journey to Cusco & City Exploration

Day 9 – Scenic Bus Ride to Cusco

  • Morning: 10-hour scenic journey with key stops:
    • La Raya Pass (4,321m/14,177ft) – Stunning Andean landscapes.
    • Wiracocha Temple in Raqchi – Impressive Inca ruins.
  • Optional Upgrade: Luxury train ride from Puno to Cusco with gourmet meals and entertainment.
  • Evening: Arrive in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire.

Day 10 – Cusco Walking Tour & Free Afternoon

  • Morning walking tour:
    • Plaza de Armas, Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), San Blas neighborhood.
    • San Pedro Market – Enjoy fresh juices and shop for handmade crafts.
  • Free afternoon to explore the city or relax.

Day 11 - 12

Petra - Wadi Rum

Day 11 – Train to Aguas Calientes & Machu Picchu Visit

  • Morning: Scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes.
  • Afternoon: Guided tour of Machu Picchu (3 hours) – Explore the temples, stairways, and terraces.
  • Evening: Optional visit to Aguas Calientes hot springs.

Day 12 – Optional Machu Picchu Hikes & Return to Cusco

  • Morning options:
    • Revisit Machu Picchu for further exploration.
    • Huayna Picchu Hike – A short, steep climb with breathtaking views.
    • Machu Picchu Mountain Hike – A longer but more gradual ascent.
  • Afternoon: Train back to Cusco.

Day 13 – Sacred Valley Excursion (Optional)

  • Full-day tour options:
    • Moray – Mysterious Inca agricultural terraces.

Day 14 – Departure from Cusco

  • Free morning before transfer to Cusco Airport (CUZ).
