About your trip

5- Day Yukon River Standup Paddleboard Adventure

Step into the wild heart of Canada’s North on an unforgettable 5-day standup paddleboarding expedition down the historic Yukon River. From Whitehorse to Carmacks, you’ll glide 220 km through pristine wilderness, where the pace of the river carries you past towering boreal forests, rich wildlife habitats, remnants of the Klondike Gold Rush and ancient traditional First Nations Territories.

Each day, you’ll paddle smooth stretches of jade-green water, explore quiet side channels, and camp along remote riverbanks under endless northern skies. Evenings bring hearty meals cooked over an open fire, stories shared around camp, and the simple peace that comes from being far from roads and cities.

This trip is perfect for paddlers who want to challenge themselves while staying connected to nature in its rawest form. No roads, no distractions—just you, your board, and the rhythm of the Yukon River.

Who is this trip for?

The Yukon River offers a rewarding adventure for paddlers with solid flatwater experience, though no river background is required. Moving at 10–12 km/hr, the river helps us cover 40–50 km a day, making for an accessible yet exciting journey. While there are no rapids, the Yukon’s powerful flow and swirling boils keep you alert.
