This celebration is a blend of Catholic traditions and ancient Andean customs, with vibrant parades, folkloric dances, and traditional dishes. The feast honours the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and is a public display of faith and devotion. Saints and virgins are carried from their respective churches in a grand procession to the Cathedral. Traditional dances and music accompany the processions.
