Market Day

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast on the terrace—fresh pastries, fruit, and French coffee, all while soaking in the beautiful morning views. Once you're done, we invite you to join us as venture into the center of town to experience the weekly market.

This market is known for being as charming and beautiful as the town itself. This is an intimate market and you'll find that local artisans are excited to chat with tourists and are equally enthusiastic to share their passion with you. During your time you'll find amazing local produce, delectable cheeses from the region as well as hand-crafted items that make perfect souvenirs. We'll enjoy lunch in the village today and when you're ready, feel free to make your way back to our villa.

We will wrap up the day with a fabulous dinner created just for us by our private chef. Savor a delicious meal, raise a toast, and celebrate the friendships and memories you’ve made. End with a glass of bubbly (or tea!), reminiscing about the week.

Full Day Excursion

Today, our group will set off on a private tour of the historic city of Arles, a charming destination known for its remarkable Roman ruins. We’ll explore the amphitheater and meander through the lively Place du Forum, where it will feel like we’ve stepped back in time.

Next, we’ll make our way to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the town where Van Gogh spent some time. Here, we’ll visit the asylum where he created many of his most famous paintings. The town is incredibly picturesque, with quaint streets lined with charming shops and cafés—perfect for soaking up that artistic atmosphere.

The highlight of the day will be Les Baux-de-Provence, a stunning medieval village perched on a rocky hilltop. The views are absolutely breathtaking, like something out of a storybook. This entire tour promises to be filled with fascinating history, beautiful scenery, and, of course, delicious local food and wine!

Literary Indulgence Day

It's been a full week of exploring the breathtaking hills of the Luberon and now it's time for some well-earned relaxation. We invite you to enjoy a slow-start to your day, rising when you're ready and joining us in the villa's sun-drenched kitchen for a delicious breakfast and a piping hot cappuccino.

While today is yours to fill as you desire, we have few recommendations that are sure to make this day memorable. We have some time set aside to discuss the famous book by Peter Mayle: A Year in Provence, open to any who wish to join.

After lunch, we recommend grabbing an espresso (or a glass of full-bodied red wine) and curl up with your favorite novel for our quiet reading afternoon.

A Day of Literary Exploration on Foot

Today, we’ll embark on a delightful literary adventure, walking through the town to explore its independent bookshops and charming cafés. Our first stop will be an inviting independent bookstore, where you’ll find a curated selection of local authors, literary classics, and hidden gems. Take your time to browse, engage with the shop owner, and maybe pick out a book to enjoy throughout the retreat.

Mid-morning, we’ll head to a cozy café for a coffee and pastry break. You can relax with your new book or chat with fellow guests about your favorite reads in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to recharge before we continue our literary exploration.

Next, we’ll visit a second-hand bookstore that specializes in vintage books and rare engravings. This hidden treasure trove is filled with unique finds—from out-of-print novels to beautifully illustrated prints. You’ll have the chance to unearth one-of-a-kind pieces, making this stop a highlight for any book lover or art enthusiast.

For lunch, we’ll gather at a charming local café, enjoying delicious, seasonal dishes while sharing stories of the day’s discoveries. Afterward, we’ll take a relaxed stroll back to the villa, where you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to unwind. Whether you choose to curl up with your new book, explore your engravings, or simply enjoy the villa’s serene atmosphere, the time is yours.

We’ll cap off the day with a delicious dinner prepared by our private chef, reflecting on our literary journey and enjoying the company of like-minded women.
