Munga Plains' wellness retreats provide you with the unique opportunity to recharge through yoga, incredible nature and wildlife experiences, total disconnection from the urban life and restful evenings under the stars with likeminded people.


What to Expect:

•⁠ ⁠Holistic Wellness: Deepen your practice with daily Vinyasa Flow Yoga  with adjustable levels and Themed afternoon classes according to needs of participants. This can be vary from Nidra yoga, Yin yoga, Gravity yoga or Healing workshops. Emel will help you to balance between strength and softness that you can develop your personal  practice which is right for you to take home to add to your daily rountines of wellbeing. She will carefully guide your journey throughout that light within during this retreat. 

•⁠ ⁠Thrilling Safari Adventures: Encounter four of the legendary Big Five during game drives in Chobe National Park.

•⁠ ⁠Cultural Immersion: Discover local village life and enjoy feasts and dances around the firepit that showcase local tribes' customs and traditions.

Your Teacher

Nickname Pocket Rocket has given to her because of the power and passion she has for teaching yoga and delivering her best at each and every single class since 2013. 

Emel has found her passion to teach after recovering from  the back surgery successfully at the age of 40 but her teaching journey made her discover the magic of the real power within. Her holistic approach to strong practice makes her sessions very unique and this reatreat will make you understand how and why she stands out strongly to belive that there is a real and limited potential in you to unlock.

Food

Designed by Tswana chef and author of Taste of Botswana Ednah Rosen, our chef prepares delicious and nutritious local dishes, from healthy, gluten-free salads to veggies samosas and revitalising juices made with our garden's seasonal fruits.

Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Payment Schedule

To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance will be collected in installments as follows:

        •        50% of the total amount must be paid 6 months before the retreat start date.

        •        100% of the total amount must be paid 3 months before the retreat start date.


2. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel, the following terms apply:

        •        Up to 6 months before the start date: You may cancel with a refund of any payments made, excluding the non-refundable deposit.

        •        Between 6 and 3 months before the start date: 50% of the total retreat cost will be charged.

        •        Less than 3 months before the start date: No refunds will be provided.


3. Service Modifications and Force Majeure

In the event of unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, travel restrictions, epidemics, or other events of force majeure) that affect the retreat, we reserve the right to:

        •        Modify or reschedule services where possible, offering comparable alternatives of similar quality.

        •        If rescheduling isn’t feasible or if substantial portions of the retreat cannot be delivered, provide a partial refund or a credit toward a future retreat.

Please note that refunds or credits are only offered in cases of significant impact on retreat services due to force majeure and do not cover minor modifications.


4. Travel Insurance

We recommend all participants purchase travel insurance to cover any unexpected changes, including trip cancellations, delays, or emergencies. This ensures you are protected and can fully enjoy your retreat experience.


5. Health and Participation Requirements

Participants must be in suitable health to engage in retreat activities and should inform us of any conditions that may impact their participation. For specific activities like safaris, participants should exercise caution and acknowledge the inherent risks.


6. Client Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for providing accurate information, including valid travel documents and visas if required. Any failure to secure necessary travel documentation or arrive on time is the responsibility of the participant and will not qualify for refunds.


7. Data Privacy

Personal information shared with us will be handled with care and may be shared with third-party providers as necessary to deliver retreat services. Your information will be processed in line with applicable privacy laws.


8. Liability

The organizer is not responsible for personal injuries, loss, or damage during the retreat. Participation in all activities, including safaris, is at the participant’s own risk.

Day 1

Arrival

Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport, Zimbabwe, and start your retreat with a visit of Victoria Falls town on e-bikes, followed by a peaceful evening in the town of Victoria Falls.


1:00 PM - Transfer to Shongwe Oasis (partner lodge in Victoria Falls)

Flow on the Zambezi

Start your day early with a sunrise yoga session on a boat gliding on the Zambezi river. After some relaxing free time, head to the Lookout Cafe for lunch and visit the majestic Victoria Falls before heading back to your hotel for a delicious dinner.


Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya or "The Smoke That Thunders," is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, it is the largest waterfall in the world based on combined width and height, creating a stunning and awe-inspiring spectacle.

Discover Chobe National Park

After a nourishing continental breakfast, enjoy an energising yoga session before heading to Botswana. Enjoy an exciting boat cruise and game drive in Chobe National Park before settling down at Munga Plains for the night.


Chobe National Park boasts the world’s largest concentration of elephants, often seen in herds along the Chobe River. The park is also home to lions, leopards, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. Birdwatchers can delight in over 450 species of birds, making it a paradise for ornithologists.

Step into the bush

Your first full day at Munga Plains starts gently with morning coffee followed by a yoga session.


Go deeper into your yoga practice with an afternoon yoga workshop, then head to the bush for a short nature walk and watch the sunset drink in hand. After dinner, join us for an optional night drive to find hyenas and other nocturnal animals!

Honor local traditions

After the daily yoga, take a guided village tour with the Basubiya people, followed by traditional dances and boma dinner around the fire pit.

Roam the wild

We will start the day with yoga and after brunch, some arm balances.  In the afternoon we'll embark on a thrilling safari adventure in Chobe National Park. Encounter diverse wildlife, from majestic lions and stealthy leopards to powerful buffalos and graceful giraffes.

Ride with the horizon

The last day focused on the practice of yoga. We'll start the morning with a guided meditation or a guided group class followed by a relaxing and restorative theme for the afternoon. 


After lunch, hop on a horse to ride through the savannah and spot zebras, Botswana's national animal, and other wildlife.

Emel is passionate about teaching yoga and holistic healing. she has been building up her passion since 2013 and registered in Yoga Alliance Association with Teaching experince of over 5K hours of all levels of yoga incl. Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Gravity yoga, Nidra and Meditation sessions. Also qualified Holistic healer for Reiki, Metatronic and Akashic healing as well as Group healing sessions for over all wellbeing and awareness.
