Onto the Mountain

Today, you’ll prepare for your move to the Cheeper-Azau Mountain Hotel. After packing the necessary gear, we’ll take a short 3 km transfer to the Azau Glade, followed by a trek up to Stary Krugozor Station (3,000 m).

After checking into your room and enjoying lunch, we’ll embark on an acclimatization hike to the Mir Cable Car Station at 3,450 meters or continue further, depending on the group’s condition and weather. You may trek past scenic waterfalls or along a glacial lake.

Spending the night at this higher altitude is key to a smooth acclimatization process, allowing your body to adjust gradually. Unlike many expeditions that rush to altitude, our program takes a careful approach to minimize the risk of altitude sickness, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable ascent.

The climb to the Pastukhova Rocks is a test of your physical conditioning, but the panoramic views from the top make it all worth it. After descending back to the mountain hotel, you’ll have time to relax, share stories of the day, and mentally prepare for the summit attempt.
