About your trip

Mount Kailash, rising from the vast Tibetan plateau, is one of the most sacred mountains on Earth — revered by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of the ancient Bon tradition as the spiritual axis of the universe. Nearby, the pristine waters of Lake Manasarovar symbolize purification and renewal. For centuries, pilgrims have journeyed across the Himalayas to walk the sacred 53-kilometer circumambulation (Kora) around Kailash — a profound act of devotion and inner transformation.

Our Humla–Simikot route follows one of the oldest Himalayan pilgrimage corridors, beginning in remote northwest Nepal. Trekking through Nyinba villages, high mountain passes, and traditional trade paths before crossing into Tibet, this journey offers gradual acclimatization and deep cultural immersion. More than a trek, it is a passage through living Himalayan heritage — blending physical challenge, spiritual reflection, and breathtaking landscapes into one of the world’s most meaningful journeys.

At Treks With Purpose Nepal, we guide this journey with cultural depth, logistical precision, and deep respect for the spiritual traditions of the region.
