Overview

The Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek is one of the world’s most iconic Himalayan journeys, leading you to the foot of Mount Everest (8,848.86m). This trek combines high mountain scenery, Sherpa culture, glacial rivers, and historic mountaineering routes.

The trail passes through Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and into the homeland of the Sherpa people whose mountaineering legacy defines the Khumbu region.

Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

Reach the base of the world’s highest mountain and the starting point of Everest expeditions.

Sherpa Culture & Spiritual Heritage

Visit Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. Walk past mani stones, prayer wheels, and traditional Sherpa villages.

Suspension Bridges & Glacial Rivers

Cross high-altitude bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and follow the Khumbu Glacier toward Base Camp.

Wildlife & Alpine Flora

Sagarmatha National Park is home to Himalayan tahr, musk deer, colorful pheasants, and alpine rhododendron forests.

Trek Itinerary - 14-Days

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

Airport transfer and trek briefing.

Day 2 – Drive to Manthali (474m) – Fly to Lukla (2,800m) – Trek to Phakding (2,652m)

3–4 hours walk along the Dudh Koshi River.

Day 3 – Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

5–6 hours. Enter Sagarmatha National Park and climb to the Sherpa capital.

Day 4 – Acclimatization Day at Namche

Optional hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village.

Day 5 – Trek to Tengboche (3,867m) / Debuche (3,770m)

4–5 hours. Visit Tengboche Monastery.

Day 6 – Trek to Dingboche (4,358m)

5–6 hours. Transition into alpine terrain.

Day 7 – Acclimatization Day at Dingboche

Hike to nearby ridges for altitude adaptation.

Day 8 – Trek to Lobuche (4,928m)

5–6 hours. Pass memorials dedicated to mountaineers.

Day 9 – Trek to Gorakshep (5,160m) & Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

6–7 hours. Explore Everest Base Camp.

Day 10 – Sunrise Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) – Trek to Pheriche

6–7 hours. Early morning panoramic views.

Day 11 – Trek to Namche Bazaar

5–6 hours descent.

Day 12 – Trek to Lukla

6–7 hours.

Day 13 – Fly to Manthali – Drive to Kathmandu

Maximum Elevation: 5,545m

Best Seasons: March–May and September–November

Proper acclimatization, hydration, and gradual ascent are essential. Good physical condition is recommended.
