On Sunday, August 10, you will take a flight from Lima to Cuzco. After checking into your hotel, your guide will take you on a tour of Cuzco's colonial city and the surrounding archaeological ruins, including Saqsaywaman, Qenqo, Tambo Machay, and Puka Pukara. Overnight stay in Cuzco.

On Monday, August 11, start your day exploring the archaeological site of Pisac, one of the largest in the Sacred Valley. Located on a hill at the entrance of the valley, Pisac boasts impressive Inca agricultural terraces, still used today. You will also visit the traditional market in the village of Pisac. Next, you will continue to Ollantaytambo, where you will explore its imposing Inca ruins—one of the few remaining examples of Inca urban planning, with its well-preserved buildings, streets, and courtyards. Finally, you will take a train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the village located at the foot of Machu Picchu, where you will spend the night.

Early morning ascent to visit the legendary Machu Picchu citadel on Tuesday, August 12. Your French-speaking guide will take you through the different sectors of the site, providing fascinating insights into its history, the daily life of the Incas, and the rediscovery of this world-famous site. In the afternoon, return to Ollantaytambo by train and overnight stay in a lodge.

On Wednesday, August 13, start the day by discovering the open-air salt pans of Maras, where salt extraction dates back to Inca times. This breathtaking landscape, made up of thousands of human-carved terraces, is still exploited today by locals through a cooperative system, and Maras salt has gained fame in the world of gastronomy. Next, visit Moray, a fascinating Inca agricultural laboratory. The Incas ingeniously created different microclimates using a system of circular terraces, allowing them to experiment with crops and optimize yields at various altitudes. Finally, stop in the traditional village of Chinchero, famous for its vibrant Andean textiles and colorful traditional clothing—some of the finest in Peru. Return to Cuzco in the afternoon and overnight stay in Cuzco.

Early morning transfer to Cuzco Airport for your flight to Lima on Thursday, August 14. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to the bus terminal to board a comfortable daytime bus to Huaraz. You will arrive in Huaraz in the evening, where a transfer to your hotel will be arranged.

On Friday, August 15, depart from Huaraz and head towards the Domos Cordillera Blanca, where you will settle in. After a short 20-minute transfer, you will embark on a hike in the Quilcayhuanca Valley, a stunning, untouched landscape at approximately 4,000 meters altitude. The valley offers a gentle, relatively flat terrain, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and breathtaking Andean scenery. Upon returning to the domes, you will have the afternoon free to relax and immerse yourself in the surroundings. You can admire the agricultural landscapes, observe local farmers in their daily activities, and enjoy the tranquility of the Cordillera Blanca.

On Saturday, August 16 you will hike to Laguna Churup, located in Huascarán National Park, high above Huaraz and near the Domos Cordillera Blanca. This is a challenging yet rewarding day hike, with crystal-clear waters set at the foot of the imposing Churup Mountain. Reaching 4,450 meters altitude, this trek is an excellent acclimatization hike but features steep sections. It is recommended to have completed at least one or two hikes before attempting Churup. The final ascent involves a semi-scramble over rocks, with fixed cables to assist hikers—no technical skills are required, but it may not be suitable for those with severe vertigo. After returning to the domes, you will have the afternoon to relax and appreciate the peaceful surroundings, observe local farmers, and admire the stunning agricultural landscapes.

On Sunday, August 17, you will explore the stunning Llaca Lake, located at 4,400 meters altitude in the heart of Huascarán National Park. Situated just behind the Domos Cordillera Blanca, this remote valley offers breathtaking landscapes. A private vehicle will take you to the entrance of the Quebrada Llaca, where your hike to the lake will begin. As you ascend, you will be gradually immersed in the raw beauty of the valley, surrounded by towering peaks. Upon arrival at Llaca Lake, you will be rewarded with a striking green lagoon, nestled beneath the majestic summits of Ranrapalca and Ochsapalca. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, you will return to your vehicle and head back to the domes for a relaxing evening.

On Monday, August 18, your journey continues into the Llanganuco Valley, one of the most stunning areas in Huascarán National Park. A private vehicle will take you to the park entrance, where you will begin your hike along the Maria Josefa Trail. This scenic path winds through a dense Andean forest, at the base of towering granite cliffs, leading you to the shores of the first lake in the valley. After this initial trek, your vehicle will take you to Cebollapampa (3,900m), the starting point of your ascent to Refugio Perú. This demanding yet rewarding trek will take you up to 4,680m, where you will spend the night. The climb offers incredible panoramic views, bringing you closer to the snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.

Tuesday, August 19, you will embark on one of the most breathtaking day hikes in Peru—Laguna 69, nestled in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca. Departing early from Refugio Perú, you will follow a spectacular and less-traveled route leading to Laguna 69. Along the way, you will be surrounded by legendary peaks such as Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, and Chacraraju. Upon reaching Laguna 69, you will have time to admire its vibrant turquoise waters, a true natural wonder. From there, you will descend via the main trail to Cebollapampa, where your private vehicle will be waiting for the transfer back to Huaraz.
