Day 1

Catania

Arrival in Catania and transfer to the hotel in Taormina.

Taormina – Mount Etna – Taormina

Enjoy a city tour of Catania before visiting Mount Etna, including lunch at a winery with wine tasting. Continue up to 1,900 meters to explore the Silvestri Craters, formed during past eruptions. After the excursion, transfer to the Taormina area and check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Taormina. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided half-day tour of Taormina, visiting the Greco Roman amphitheater and the Cathedral, followed by a walking tour of the city.

Taormina / Syracuse / Piazza Armerina

After breakfast, depart for Syracuse, an impressive city on a small island. Visit the Archaeological Area of Neapolis and the charming historic center of Ortigia. Lunch at leisure, with the option to enjoy street food. In the afternoon, transfer to Piazza Armerina. Dinner and overnight at a rural guesthouse that produces local organic foods.

Piazza Armerina / Agrigento / Piazza Armerina

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Agrigento. Meet with a local guide and visit the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Optional food and wine experience at Casa Diodoro, located inside the Valley. Return to Piazza Armerina in the afternoon and visit the Roman Villa del Casale with a guide. Dinner and overnight at the rural guesthouse.

After breakfast, transfer to Cefalù, a beautiful town in northern Sicily with a magnificent cathedral and sandy beach. Free time for lunch. Continue to Monreale, perched in a panoramic position above Palermo, to visit its Cathedral with golden mosaics. Transfer to the hotel in Palermo. Dinner at leisure. Overnight in Palermo

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided walking tour of Palermo’s historic center, including the Cathedral, Church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, the Palazzo dei Normanni (exterior), and a traditional local market. Light lunch of street food included. Afternoon free for shopping, relaxation, or optional half-day visits. Dinner at leisure. Overnight in Palermo.
