Day 1

 Arrival at Baltra Airport. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. After lunch, visit the Charles Darwin Station, where students can observe different Galápagos tortoise species up close. The tour includes a special room with the embalmed remains of Lonesome George, the last known individual from Pinta Island. Dinner at the end of the day.

explore Punta Estrada

 After breakfast, walk to the dock and take a small boat across Santa Cruz Bay to Punta Estrada. A 20-minute walk through salt pools leads to Las Grietas, two towering lava walls split by a brackish water channel where guests can enjoy a refreshing swim. On the way back, free time at German Beach. (Las Grietas access is limited to 16 people per time slot.) Lunch and dinner at the hotel.

Tortuga Bay

 Visit Tortuga Bay, a nesting site for sea turtles and marine iguanas. The white sand beach, surrounded by mangroves, is accessed via a 45-minute walk along a paved trail, where guests can see cacti, finches, and lava lizards. After lunch at the hotel, head to the Highlands to see tortoises in their natural habitat, explore Lava Tunnels, and visit the Twin Craters, volcanic depressions surrounded by native vegetation like scalesia, mosses, and orchids. Dinner to close the day.
