About your trip

Surrounded by twelve volcanoes that form a majestic Andean landscape, Quito was the first city to be declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
It boasts the largest historical complex in Latin America, with more than 130 monumental buildings and over 5,000 properties registered as Historical Heritage. Situated at an altitude of 2,830 meters (9,285 feet) above sea level, Quito is also the second-highest capital city in the world.

Otavalo, known as the Intercultural Capital of Ecuador, stands out for its cultural and historical richness. It is home to the Quichua people of Otavalo, renowned for their textile artistry and commercial talent, who have created the world-famous indigenous craft market “La Plaza de los Ponchos.”
